"Invalid for a light module" causes CTD. Usually it happens when you add something in Creation Kit. To solve it, unflag ESL, save, reload in SSEEDIT, "Compact FormIDs for ESL", and reflag ESL.
I’d use Ryn’s Riverwood houses, they’re really well done and most importantly have all the necessary patches. I really try to update locations that haven’t already been done pretty well by other MAs
