These settings are NOT needed for SSE Engine Fixes v6.2
EnableAchievementsWithMods = false SaveAddedSoundCategories = true (was originally set to false, testing has shown that this doesn't need to be turned off) SaveScreenshots = false
Hey Zanderat, do you use Animation Limit Fix or no? Just wondering because I saw the line: "AnimationLoadSignedCrash = true # Fix a misplaced use of a signed value. Should allow to load more animations before CTD" and I have to have it set to false with the above mentioned app installed, wondering if I have it set to false should I change anything else?
hey for some reason this didnt work for me at all when i did it, swapped out the file with yours but i still get false save corruption and the dialogue bug, i have version 6.2 for Engine Fixes and i have the most recent version of SSE, AE version specifically, any ideas on what i need to do to fix it? so far ive circumnavigated the bugs with a quick trade mod but its still annoying for quests, companions, and a few other things
part 1 can be installed via Vortex, heard you can have part 2 installed via Vortex too if you set it as engine level but your supposed to install part 1 manually, iirc you just place the mod contents into Skyrims base folder, the one with the EXEs in it
I am slightly confused on this. When my game crashes, it mentions something to do with EngineFixes. Most of the help I've seen has pointed people to this mod. Since I have the latest version of SKSE and Skyrim, I'm unsure if I need this mod, and I keep getting animation errors on the game launch.
Its not a mod. It's a toml file, You can open the toml file in SSE Engine fixes an change the 3 lines from true to false etc. Take you less than a minute. So you can do that and try it, and if it doesn't help, revert then the same way.
Greetings, im new to Skyrim and mods in general. My version is GOG 1.6. 1179. I could not risk doing them manually so i went with Vortex. I only installed couple of QoL mods/fixes, SKSE being one of them. Here is my list. So my question; is this mod for another pack of fixes to game, or something i should install instead of SKSE? Or should i install this along with others as well?
You would only use this if you had SSE Engine Fixes. That mod (SSE Engine Fixes) requires SKSE. So they are both required.
As you state you're new to modding then do yourself a favour and check the 'Requirements' of each mod. Normally an author places these in the 'Requirements' tab, but some write them down in the 'Description' page. Also check the 'Files' page as this can also have further info on the file description. Lastly check and use the search function of the 'Posts' page. This will give you most of what you need to know.
I'd also make certain that you have correctly set up your file management as Windows can cause issues and block mods from working. Do this by following a good guide like Step Modification, which I've placed a link here. Good luck with your journey down the rabbit hole of modding Skyrim.
Zanderat, first of all many thanks for your toml.file This help greatly as I now can at least access my game as I - involuntarily - upgraded from 1.6.640 to 1.6.1170. However, I run about 153 mods atm and I find myself wondering about two related questions:
I only see "creations" in the menu list and the "mod configuration" entry in the menu list is gone. Does this mean I have to become a member of the Bethesda creations club now in order to configure my mods??
I produced a CTD when I tried to interact with a follower via the key "E". As the drop-down list of interacting with the follower would have included also additional options due to the mods installed I'm guessing that the crash resulted from the mod not being applicable as it is specifically looking for the old game version (1.6.640) Thus, do I have to check now each and every mod if it also has a 1.6.1170 version available and if not I have to deinstall that mod?
I just decided to give up on it. I've tried all the files, and even did it manually. Nothing works, but now after I deleted engine fixes part 1 and 2 none of my plugins load. I think something in engine fixes literally fucked up my game.
So I'm guessing I have some sort of mod conflict as trying to load a save gives me infinite loading. Game played for about nineteen hours, but now I can't load anything unless I'm starting over
Max Studio is at 8192
Save Game Max size is true
I'm just at all lost why I can't load my save that already has SSE Engine Fixes
Would anyone know of another reason I'm getting the infinite loading with SSE Engine Fixes if it's not a conflict?
