My kudos go out to todor0v who created the initial Floating Tree Fix modand helped me to improve this one, by sending me a big list of missed trees in my first release. I would appreciate if you could endorse his mod.
Introduction
I very much like Fabled Forest mod which does a great job creating a believable, dense forest.
However, I always had issues with trees floating in different locations. I am not sure if this is because I am using the smaller trees option, due to some incompatibility with other mods or because they are really fabled. Many others seem to have noticed the same and todor0v created Fabled Forest - Floating Trees Fix which I have been using for a while. But I could not get this working together with other mods which are changing the trees like Fabled Forests - Ivy on Trees. The trees were either earthbound or had ivy, not both. So I created my own Floating Tree Fix using Base Object Swapper which is fully compatible with other mods like Ivy on Trees. Take a look here how beautiful this forest can look like.
Word of warning
I am sure I have not gotten rid of all floating trees. I used a random approach to identify floating trees, which included walking dozens of in game miles and doing a lot of tree staring. This game really has a lot of trees. And thank you Skyrim, I will never be able to look at trees so innocently again.
If you find floating trees (and you will) I am always happy to get a postcard with a screenshot from the map with the position. Eventually I may release another version and cure those reality denying plants from their elevated state of mind. As I have grounded around 1.000 trees with this mod, it might take me a moment to be able looking at trees again.
Installation instructions
Check requirements first. Install this mod with your favorite mod manager. Load order or overwrites does not matter, no need to rerun Dyndolod and can be installed with any ongoing savegame. This mod should be compatible with everything.
