- Load your save and open racemenu, then change player character to a temporary vanilla race, then exit racemenu.
- If you are using the follower, dismiss her.
- Save game and exit, now you can uninstall Skynaut mod.
- Optional: if you think, you can have issues with persistent stuff, you can try to clean your save.
- Load your save, ignoring missing mod warning, and save again, now you should install this mod without problems as explained on installation section, and return player character to this race.
A race from another world, with extravagantly colored skin. Any resemblance to draenei race is purely coincidental...
This race doesn't have a racial ability attached, but includes a racial power (find it on magic inventory, powers section) which add/remove
spells and abilities depending on player level:
Level 0:
- Speed, jump and carry improvements
- Claws damage (unarmed damage improved)
- Calm animals (creatures don't attack you when sneaking)
- Radiance (a light effect to see in the dark)
Level 15:
- Vanish (Invisibility spell)
- Hydrophobia (a simple waterwalking spell)
Level 30:
- Terror (Fear area effect)
- Jet stream (an airflow that push and damage your enemies)
Spoiler: Follower location, a balcony on a dwemer tower called Reachwind Eyrie.
Note: Only essential files are included (tail, horns, hooves...), you must add required resources or replace them with your custom files as explained in customization section.
Important: Only mandatory requirements are listed, obviously, extra ones can appear depending on your preference, and other possible requirements are so popular (racemenu, SKSE...) that not need a recommendation because most people use them.
You can install with your mod manager, then add required resources to empty folders, or if you have issues with mising files, download it manually, extract it and add required resources to each folder. Now, you can repack it in a zip file and install with your mod manager.
Includes a follower addon, if you don't want follower, disable or remove esp file.
Customization:
You must add not included resources to empty folders (see notes inside each folder with a list of required files), other basic files are included but you can replace them with other ones if you wish, so, note that character appearance can vary depending on your decisions.
Note that some extra parts like hooves and tail are equipped dynamically using a script, for campatibility with body change mods, so, if these mods replace character body, these part won't be removed.
Body:
Add body textures and tintmask to data\textures\actors\character\Skynauts, eye textures are included, and other ones for resources like tail, hooves or horns, but you can replace them if you want other colors or to match body textures.
Add body meshes for each gender to data\meshes\actors\character\Skynauts, only body meshes are necessary because hooves replace character feet, and I've also included experimental hands with claws (CBBE and HIMBO hands with attached claws), however you can replace with default human hands if you wish.
Extra Parts:
Horns: in this version horns are signed as facial hair, so, you can select them in racemenu using beard slider, there are 5 options but I've included same model for all, so you must replace them with other model from horn mods or other races as you can see in pictures. Simply copy horns meshes to Horns folder, and rename to overwrite original files.
Tail: I've included a basic tail, I don't like SMP tails because they look like a dead part not voluntarily moved by character (like braids), but feel free to replace it with a physics version or other type if you wish.
Head Morphs: this version uses high elf head morphs to allow pointy ears (default mod uses human morphs, but a custom low poly head with edited ears), I know vanilla elven morphs are terrible, but High Poly Head includes some patches that improve these morphs, so, I recommend to install them.
I've also included a mouth with fangs (female only), replace with vanilla mesh if you prefer default mouth shape.
Hair:
I've included some hair styles based on KS Hairdos, so, you need this mod, but if you don't want to install full mod, add required resources for included hair styles only.
Anyway, If you want to use more hair mods, or other head parts like brows, scars... but they aren't available in racemenu due to race restrictions, you have 2 ways: edit these mods to remove race restrictions in these parts, or try to add this race to human races list, so it will use all parts designed for this list. Note that these parts should be compatible with High poly head to avoid clipping.
Animations:
If you want custom animations for your race, install Dynamic Animation Replacer or Open Animation Replacer, and Walk with elegance (custom feet file) or Walk with elegance OAR version.
Armors:
This race can use default boots and shoes, but I recommend to use armor sets with separated parts which include greaves, etc, so hooves aren't hidden. I also recommend to use gloves with claws.
Spells:
Racial spells are stored in 3 form list (SkynautSpellsA, SkynautSpellsB and SkynautSpellsC), type A spells are added to character on startup and other ones when he/she reaches level 15 and 30 using a script, as explained in description. If you don't like some of them and want to remove or replace, or simply you want to add more spells to each level, you can edit these list using a patch or a tool like FormList Manipulator.
