just a friendly suggestion, changing the name to 'Remove Light Flicker FX' would remove the possibility of users thinking this has to do with the engine light limit functionality. just a suggestion , not being a pest. hell , it might get you more DL's because they will know exactly what this does
True... it just sounds so... technical. It just seems so strange to me that people think a mod could touch an engine limitation like that. But there is SKSE so I suppose we're just spoiled.
No you are not spoiled, you are just ignorant to realize 90% of the users here have problems with light flickering in their game and assume, because of the title, your mod will fix it.
Check your file. It works flawlessly in MO2 so your download may be corrupt. You can preview the file structure on the files page and compare it to what you downloaded. If you have further issues contact the MO2 discord for support.
Thanks for this. Flickering is a migraine trigger so usually I have to just avoid going into caves and tombs; this may actually allow me to play the game for longer at a time!
(To the people saying this isn't immersive: it's not supposed to be. Mods like this are for accessiblity so disabled people like me can still enjoy gaming. If you don't get migraines or seizures from flickering, congratulations! You aren't the target audience for this mod)
(Slight edit, I chose to keep cooking and keep personal torches while disabling flicker everywhere else in the fomod, and it appears that whether you select to keep or remove torches, the torches are removed regardless. Not game-breaking for me but figured I'd let you know)
Yeah I made sure to click no. Even tested switching between the options just in case they'd gotten flipped/mislabeled in the fomod. The option doesn't even exist in your newest file lol. I don't mind, some vanilla spaces are too dark but I can live with it.
Either way, having played with this mod for a few days now, it DEFINITELY removed all eyestrain from my game and reduced my headaches, so I'm very grateful it exists.
Someone on Reddit asked for it. I like doing little things like this. Minimal amount of time and you know your work is appreciated. It only needs to be wanted by one person to make a mod worthwhile.
What a based take. Sulhir just destroyed any negative comments about a mod he made for someone else just because he knew how to do it. You're really what I believe should be the golden standard for public modding practices, just wanting to help others and posting it in case someone else would find it helpful. Love that, brother. Happy Holidays!
I'm guessing this mod has nothing to do with Skyrim's light limit. Instead I think it probably disables the flickering FX on each light source. Probably aimed at players on less powerful hardware, or people who find flickering lights annoying.
This mod is actually already a tweak setting in Wyre Bash when building your bashed patch I found out like 30 minutes ago. According to Wyre Bash's description, you are spot on.

A note on the 2.2 FOMOD. I was asked 5 times about Torches, Dead or Alive?
Now the restrictions aren't restrictive enough. I just can't win with this silly thing.
I will have to fix that because it won't install the proper plugin if it is doing that round more than once
And a few sections might not have properly ended... in a couple places. Just some of them...
And perhaps a few endings were the wrong endings for the things they were ending... really nothing important... maybe some mistyped lines entirely...
Really, it could happen to anyone trying to pump out 703 lines of a module while juggling three kids! 2.1 will be out shortly...

You made sure to click "No" for Torches Must Die?
I found a typo in the fomod, so maybe that's what it was.

Just conjecture.
