Here's a bunch of frequently asked questions (seriously, some of these gets asked every 2 posts) that should hopefully answer your questions before you decide to ask something that has already been answered (likely several times).

The original mod for legacy Skyrim can be found here.

    Q: CAN U PLX PUT ON BETESTHA.NET?!=!!11
A: Sure... it's already there at:
    Beards [XB1] at Bethesda.net

Q: Do I need to use the .esp?
A: No. I recommend you do however, there's no particular reason you shouldn't. If it's a maxed out load order you're concerned about:
    1) You're modding wrong, you should never have that many mods installed.
    2) If you absolutely must, you can use TES5Edit to merge minor mods together (such as this one, with, for example Brows and other similar mods).

Q: PLX MAEK THIS OR THIS ONE BEARD!11
A: You didn't bother read the description, did you? I'll make new beard styles eventually.

    Q: R U GONA RETEX KHAJIIT BEARDS??!
A: The sideburn/mane beards are included within Beards. The whiskers/mustaches are part of hair textures and will thus be found in my upcoming Hairs mod.

Q: WUT?!? COLORZ OF HAIR AND BEARDS NO MATCH?!?!?!?!11!11one
A: This is intended. That's how Bethesda made it, and I intend to keep it that way. In real life, we rarely have the same beard and hair color, especially if we have a brighter hair color. It's not uncommon to have a hint of red in your beard, if you're blonde, dark blonde, or even darker.

Q: 'Member Beards for legacy Skyrim?
    A:

Does this Beards mod work with "Five O' clock shadow" ?

This is a beard growing mod over time I really hope it does work.

I'd say it most likely does.

Hello! Kind of stupid question, but what mod do you use to make the warpaint look so good? Can't find a good one.

Best mod if you want to be a badass nord.
But what about hair? Any plans on adding hair for men? Some cuts from vikings would fit pretty good.

Anyone figured out what might cause beard clipping while talking? Face animations not compatible?

I haven't seen anything like that in my game. My best guess is mods that alter face animations or beard/face tri files. Perhaps for specific races only.

Meant to mention I had to update my male face animations. I guess something was wrong.

Most likely not compatible or they ignored / forgot beard .tri files.

Not sure if this anything to go by. but during the loading screen of the nord with his mouth open the beard does seem to partially clip around his lips...

Very nice mod! I always install this for any playthrough. Thanks for all your hard work. I looked around a bit to see if anyone had asked about your screenshots and couldn't find anything. So what scars, warpaints, ENB, etc did you use for these? Hope I didn't just overlook it. lol Anyways they look great!

Didn't mention anything about scars and warpaints because I'm working on my own versions of those. Scars are Northborn in the screenshots. The warpaint is my own.

I don't remember what ENB that is, but I do remember I tweaked it quite a bit for my calibrated monitor to get the look I wanted.

Well damn! This is a mod I've been using since I first started playing in Classic years ago. I used it when I first started SE too, but I come back to play again and all the textures have been redone? I was already happy with them but was surprised by the update! They look great in your screen shots!

How is it that you have blonde hair and a brown beard in the pictures?

Having a darker shade of beard than hair, really isn't that uncommon where I'm from.

Is there any issue with converting this (and Brows) to ESL? xEdit says it's doable if you change the formids in the CK, which usually means just compact them with xEdit, but I don't want to break my existing save.

I installed your brows mod and then went to install beards, but got an update warning, that didn't make sense, stating that beards is v5 to update older brows v4.1 (or some such).

Wth? The esp's are completely different names. I assume thats not normal, but have you heard of that conflict between 2 of your mods before?

Never heard about a conflict between my mods, and it's impossible there is one as the mods doesn't have any elements that entangle with the other. I've also always had my own mods installed at the same time. Vortex doesn't give me warnings or issues.

Good. I had assumed as much, but it was soo wrong and bizarre that I had to say something.
I am actually still using NMM; and an older version of NMM at that(SSE compatible though). So I'm gonna chalk it up to something to do with that. I wanted to believe that it happened with some other mod included your work, but installing beards.esp straight up knocked out brows.esp(when selecting 'yes' to update during install).
I ultimately re-installed both and just said no to update, and to install as a new mod, so its pretty much a non-issue, but that happening.... just isn't right.
Old NMM version or not, never seen that happen before.

That is strange indeed, I used to use NMM before Vortex but the only thing that HAS changed with both mods after I converted to Vortex is including a Fomod installer, but even those should work without issue in NMM.
