Hello I love you mod! But, unfortunately I’ve ran into a problem with recruiting one of the followers I’ve done the dialog options with her caravan leader for 500 gold but when i try to add her as my follower it won’t let me and the dialog option to recruit her isn’t working for me :(
Hello! I downloaded this via CC, and I'm having an issue. I want Nabhani as my follower. I tracked her down, which took quite some time just walking the road from Solitude to Windhelm. But I got to do some hunting, so that was great.
When I finally saw them down the road I was quite excited. I talked to Nabhani, and then talked to Ma'dran. Paid him gold to make her my follower, since I am low level and couldn't pursade him. When I talk to her, she acts excited to join me, but she won't actually start following me. She stays with the caravan. I've tried Fast Traveling, which was kind of a bummer because then I had to track them down again. I've tried restarting. Not sure what else to try.
Advice would be appreciated. I'm looking forward to having someone watch my back.
Heya, I'm sorry to hear about your issues! Does the follower dialogue appear at all? ("Follow me, I need your help") Or is it just a greeting when you talk to her, with no dialogue options?
Yeah, as I said in my post, I get follower dialogue, to which I say I want her to follow me. Then she says something like, "off to see the world!", but she never actually follows me.
I'm gonna dive back into the CK again to see if I can figure this out, but for now, you can try recruiting a vanilla follower and then dismissing them again.
That'll force the PlayerFollowerCount global back to 0 which is important in this mod's follower script, could be that messing up somehow.
So I made sure I had no other followers. I sent my goat home, I got a Vanilla NPC to follow me, then I dismissed them. Tried again with our girl Nabhani, but still no luck. I get the dialog telling her to follow me, she says yes, then she doesn't follow. Every time I talk to her, it's the same, I tell her to follow, she says yes, then just sticks with the caravan.
Also, this is on PC, as you asked the other person.
For the sake of testing, I also found Dra'zhaia. She allows me to do a quest for her, where I dropped off a crate of moon sugar to a cook. Then I asked if she'd like to follow me, she said sure, and just like the other one, doesn't follow and stays with the caravan.
Yeah that's right. Can be a bit of a pain seeking them out again but that's true of Kharjo in vanilla as well. You can use a mod like Khajiit Merchant Tracker to make it easier.
I'll be honest. I have no intention of using them as followers. I am just downloading this mod to add them to the world space. As you said, there aren't enough Khajiit ladies in the base game.
Thank you, I'll look into a conversion and if it's easy I can have a crack at it. In the meantime, permissions are open if anyone wants to beat me to it.
A bit of a warning for those who use Relation Dialogue Overhaul (me included). You will get duplicated dialogues when they are recruited. You also can recruit them immediately without doing their quests.
However, despite the conflict, nothing change much apart from being able to recruit them before the quests finished.

In the meantime I would still advise completing their quests as most of the new dialogue I made for them is conditioned on the quest being completed. You can do it instantly via console commands, check the spoiler tag in the main description.
Hi there, I don't know much about ESLfying but it's my understanding that follower mods, as well as mods that add cells or lots of scripts, are not ideal for it. Since this mod is all of those things I didn't want to risk it, however if you have the know how you can try it out and post back. It will definitely need to be compacted first though.

Disable RDO should solve the conflict completely.
