I want to inform that LID works with Rob's Horizons UI Overhaul, but only the item card frame that gets bigger. The text will still get smaller the longer it becomes, so an item with a long description or a lot of enchantments will always have tiny letters for the description and occupy only half of the card frame.
If you have free time, would you mind to look at LID's compatibility with Rob's Horizon UI? Only if you have free time though. Regardless, thanks so much for everything.
Stolen from a lore book - "Cleansing of the Fane". I deliberated between that and "Flight From the Thalmor" for a while, but decided on Cleansing because it sounded more violent, biblical, and therefore funnier. ;)
I have still Clean Menu Plus installed after this mod because I don't like the smog and the loading spinner in the main menu.
Would it be too much to ask for a version of this mod which incorporates the above changes? Than it would be a true one-stop solution for a cleaned menu.
Actually I wouldn't mind the smog if it wouldn't restart when the menu loads (and the dragon emblem switches form silver to gold). But I guess changing that is more difficult than just removing the smog. (Not sure about that actually as I didn't figure out where the smog comes from. Diffing the decompiled and XML exported code from the two mods lead nowhere as there are way to many changes; because Clean Menu removes all kinds of stuff instead of just hiding it).
I understand that the requested addition doesn't match the original theme of this mod any more, which tries to remove the Creation Club upsell features in the first place. But needing in addition a mod which overwrites half of this mod seems wasteful, imho.

The UI situation in Skyrim seems anyway super messed up. Not only that it uses tech which is plain dead, and therefore almost not handlebar, the whole "forking instead of collaborating" BS in the Skyrim modding scene makes everything even more difficult. Let's see whether I get pissed enough and start rebuilding s#*! as some proper FOSS, based on some workable tech like e.g. QML. OTOH, now, after ~50 mods, I have almost an usable UI… SkyUI has still some small bugs; but I'm not going to spend a week in the shitty Flash decompiler just to fix some quite small annoyances. If only someone made QuickLoot EE working, made it toggleable, and if Compass Navigation Overhaul worked, I would be more or less happy. Of course still a joke Bugthesada delivers a completely unusable UI and one needs to spend way to much time just to get it more or less fixed!
I understand, and the prospect is appealing, but I'd rather not recreate the smokeless mod; it's been done several times by many others (Clean Menu Plus, Smokeless Main Menu, Loading Screen Smoke Removed, Menu and Load Smoke Removed for ENB, Smoke-Free Loading Screens, on and on and on.) If you just want to tidy up your mod list, you could move CMP's "meshes" folder into your COTC folder for the smoke, and interface\loadwaitspinner.swf for the spinner.
Load COTC after Clean Menu Plus if you want the Legendary Edition text alignment.
"because Clean Menu removes all kinds of stuff instead of just hiding it" Clean Menu Plus is based on an older version of Skyrim's main menu, Bethesda added the "all kinds of stuff" to it since then.
Hello! I have a couple of questions: 1.Is it possible to add an option to remove the "help" from the pause menu too? 2.What does the "Missing Creations Check" toggle do? 3.I noticed small bugs in the gameplay menu (no survival mod toggle and bugged difficulty slider) is it possible to fix?
1. Possible, yes. 2. Checks for missing Creation Club content on load, redownloads missing files through the Creations menu. 3. The survival mode toggle should refresh on loading a new cell. Go into or exit a building. Does it not show up again? As for the difficulty slider, I haven't experienced this bug, but have now heard about it from two people. Which pause menu are you using, and what other mods?
Thank you! The modlist is too long, but the UI mods that I use are SkyUI, TrueHUD, MoreHUD, MoreHUD Inventory. About the difficulty slider disappearance I tested again and it happens even without this mod or other UI mods (wtf?) but sometimes it loads correctly. The survival mode toggle as you said sometimes it reappears on load game or change of cell.
Is the difficulty slider itself bugged (as in, visually bugged), or do you mean that the slider seems to function, but the difficulty doesn't actually change?
If it's the latter, and you're on a version of Skyrim from before 1.6.1130, there's a new version of the mod up today which will fix this. Otherwise, I'm not sure what the problem could be.
Oh yeah, and start shouting free Skyrim from Bethesda. It’s so stupid. What’s problem with people who are complaining against creation club and paid mods?
Why come here to complain? I mean, some people are like this others like that, no wrong choices, besides complaining of course. Also, He took his own time to make this, show some respect.
This game's been out since 2011 ; it's been 12 , almost 13 years .
Ever since Bethesda shared the editing tools with the community modding has been THE thing about Skyrim , so much so that neither Bethesda nor the community could begin to imagine ; sharing was caring , free content made by the players for the players , assets being shared and used by the entirety of the community to create the coolest kind of stuff . It was a lovely thing .
Flash forward a few years ( 2016-2018 ) and the patreon-like mentality starts to creep in , some people deciding that what used to be a hobby now has to become their full-time job...nothing inherently wrong it as long as you are not just re-selling stolen assets and are instead handcrafting content yourself . Except that's what starts happening...and some mods are not only locked behind payment but also happen to be made private , hidden behind discord servers and obscure blogs , the number of paid or private mods increasing over the years , making stuff get way harder to track and to obtain , even modding tools .
Flash forward a few more years...and Bethesda finally wakes the f up and realizes they can try and monetize this stuff themselves...and they keep on messing with this 10+ years old game just so they can try to get their share of the cake , not caring about all the stuff they break in the process or about the fact they are trying to take back from the community something truly unique they had originally given no value to .
What consenting adults get up to in the privacy of their own games is their business - I just don't feel that everyone else should be subjected to it. ;)
I needed a mod like this because I don't use the creation club and if I click on it by mistake I waste 10-20 seconds waiting for it to load. The issue is I sometimes click on it by mistake because:
the pause menu is buggy (especially when you scroll) and it sometimes does not select the button you are clicking
I sometimes confuse the creation club and the MCM buttons
I recently made a stupid mistake and updated my game to current version. I'm now trying to find a way to deactivate all CC content without breaking my game and so far this appears to be the best option. I just want to clarify a few things about it before I get it.
1: Does this just disable the CC interface from the game or actually remove CC content entirely?
2: If not, is there a way to remove CC content without breaking the game. To clarify, I have tried manually deleting the CC files and it made my game crash on startup every time. I know enough about computing to know I'm no master and I'd appreciate some aid and input.
Note: I also want to clarify that I have tried to downgrade to prior versions of the game but that hasn't worked either for multiple different reasons.
This mod only prevents the CC and DLC upsell interfaces from being opened or shown.
If you're trying to completely delete all CC content, note that many mods - including USSEP - are dependent on the free CC mods: Fishing, Rare Curios, Saints and Seducers, and Survival Mode. Running a dependent mod without these files would cause a crash.
I've hacked a custom menu version for myself based on the above mod. But it needs additional mods to do all the stuff this here does. Your all in one mod seems much better than that. But I really like the resorted menu from the above mod.
(Off-topic question, as I looked the very first time into Skyrim, and Skyrim modding: What tools do you guys use to work on the UI? I've found something called "JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler" and it got the job done. But the usability is horrible. To make it clear upfront: I'm not going to steal any Adobe stuff as running that on my Linux box would be anyway a big headache. Are there other alternatives? Some good VSC extensions or so?)
Re-sorting is on the to-do, but it might be a week or two before I can get to it.
Sadly, I have no magic wand. JPEXS and Notepad++ have been my only tools, here. I think there might be a flatpak or similar for the latter, but I don't think you'll be lacking for native text editor options on Linux. ;)
The desactivation of the mods is due to an incompatible option in sse engine fixes, desactivate the option for the achievements (besides 1.6.1130 doesn't need it anymore). The option you must change EnableAchievementsWithMods = falseother changes advised to use SaveAddedSoundCategories = false SaveScreenshots = falseTo enable achievements, you need to do the following for now "Steam not registering achievements and playtime According some confirmed posts, this can be solved by creating a small text file. It could be a problem on my end, but it seems to undo the changes and revert the UI to the original resolution when I use this mod.
If you have free time, would you mind doing the same for Rob's Horizons UI Overhaul? Also, is your Legible Item Descriptions of Skyrim - Specialversary Edition compatible with any custom UI like Rob's Horizons and Dragonbreaker or Vorganger's Untarnished UI?
Thanks in advance.
Legible Item Descriptions should work with anything - but it will always look like the vanilla item card.

I've heard some people recommend making dummy plugins for these CC mods, but I can't verify how well that would work.
