The vanilla mesh along the edges of the porch has a sawtooth shape formed by the tiles, my tiles are made differently, but their shape matches the vanilla ones. Thus, it is more correct to say that the retexture is not fully compatible with the vanilla mesh, and therefore with my mesh too
They are quite ordinary nails, and in fact they are not flat. I can, of course, SMIMify them, but this certainly will not lead to noticeable visual improvements.
we really appreciate your work regardless but if you do feel like it, i would suggest mortise and tenon and pegs. not nails and bolts. these are the historical building methods that allowed those olden buildings to survive not only the ages but earthquakes too
I did not change these elements, this can be seen from my comparison screenshots. If you have a question why they are made of shiny metal and not wood, it would be more correct to contact the author of the retexture (Skyland AIO in my screenshots), however, in Vanilla and many other retextures they are also metal.
Hey Drenguin, your mods are truly truly awesome. I just wanted to tell you that "Seasonal Landscapes", which is a pretty popular mod has a minor overlap with your mod and in Autumn will replace your houses with vanilla ones. Making a patch is super easy, just duplicating the mesh, adding AUT at the end of the name and changing the moss for textures\architecture\solitude\SMoss01AUT.dds and textures\architecture\solitude\SMoss01AUT_n.dds
I already did it on my end and I can send you the files if you want to save you the hassle. I didnt want to upload on my own because at the end of the day you are the amazing mind behind the mesh and it is yours to use and share
