I posted an update for SSE 1.5.73, but I don't use this and didn't test it. However, unless I made a typo, it should be fine.

1.5.50-1.5.62 version is in Old Versions.

Please don't pm meh321 if this version has problems.

for epic performance use this mod along with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230  and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31146

then change the settings of EngineFixes.toml file inside the SKSE plugins directory of https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230 to:

    [Patches]

FormCaching = false                                       #(to use this mod's feature instead)

    and

    [Fixes]

AnimationLoadSignedCrash = false                #(to use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31146  better fix)

Why Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE is better?

It boost your fps and loading speed Performance impact at Skyrim Nexus - Mods and Community. SSE Engine Fixes says that you should disable theirs to use Animation Limit Crash Fix SSE implementation though.

Is this mod still needed if I use Engine Fixes?

Not really, but you can install this mod without activating it. Then go to some place in game where you frames are low and make a save. Then activate this mod, restart the game and see if it makes the frametime better. If not then you can uninstall this mod. Or you can check this ini file and play with some of its settings. I think most settings are covered by engine fixes expect for mutex, but im not 100% certain about that.
Its just a dll plugin so you can test in peace without breaking your save

Tested on 1170 all good.. BIG fps difference! Works for me!

     DLL Plugin Loader
    -  rename the original bink2w64.dll to binkw64_.dll where -SkyrimSE.exe  and  SkyrimSELauncher.exe-- rename the -Dll Plugin Loader-  binkw64.dll to bink2w64.dll
where -SkyrimSE.eixe  and  SkyrimSELauncher.exe- Create a new file called -binkw64.log - Make sure it says .log at the end, not .TEXT -DELETE TEXT AND WRITE - LOG - !

IF new text document  dosent have text  at the end do this

    •  -ON START- Open File Explorer Options.
    • Click on the View tab.
    • Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
    • Click on OK.

Don't use SSE Fixes, use SSE Engine Fixes (skse64 plugin) instead. SSE Fixes was causing me to CTD everytime I hit an NPC with a weapon or my fists (and I followed the steps above), it also doesn't play well with Precision from what I've heard

I can confirm what Sun74 said. I've spent too much time wondering why it crashed when I hit an enemy. Turning off Precision did the trick but I was skeptical because it should work with the latest version of Skyrim. Turns out, this outdated "fixes" mod caused more problems than anything.

SSE Engine Fixes doesn't do the same - while this mod changes the loop to a more efficient one, SSE Engine Fixes caches forms instead. Caching is not free, it takes up RAM and in tree heavy areas, like Sarethi Farm for example, my game starts lagging and frequently crashes. My game is heavily modded, 1165 ESPs, and this fix used to make a lot of difference. I wish it was ported to modern versions of Skyrim.

Shit. This post needs to go up. I thought SSE Engine Fixes completely superseded this mod by doing what it does and adding other features.

i don't have an original bink2w64.dll in there to rename, though. Does it matter?

Or just do some research and you'll realise that this was superseded long ago by Engine Fixes.

the mod isnt "broken", its just made for 1.5.97.  your game might start on later versions but that doesnt mean the mod is working properly.

the replacemutex function is not included in sse engine fixes, and i personally saw a decrease in load times.  there is still reason someone might want to use this mod.  it works the same as it always has

For anyone wondering, this mod is not supported anymore. Go install Engine fixes, and report issues there.
