Well, wow, if ever there were a day when I wanted to throw Vortex out the window, this is it! Long story short, each time I tried to fix the errors in 1.5 Vortex rolled back my changes. Basically, 1.5b fixes the incorrect normals that were in 1.5. Install 1.5b and overwrite anything when prompted. After that install the fix (thanks, Vortex!) and overwrite too. I'll roll it all into one big file when I upload 1.6 soon. Apologies for the initial mess up with the normals. It should all be fixed now.

I'm stoked to be able to bring you a new update that adds SDlutz's awesome fences to the variants added. You can now see these hardy fences around Dawnstar, and the Hlaalu, Brandy-Mug and Hollyfrost Farms, too. A HUGE thank you to SDlutz for allowing me to use their assets in this mod. Please be sure to endorse the original mod and give SDlutz some kudos. Enjoy!
Update 29th Nov '23
Update 1.4 adds five new variants of the SMIM style fence. It also adds twelve snowy variants. Anga's Mill now has slightly broken down snowy fences, and the Loreius Farm's fences could do with some upkeep. I've stuck with fences leaning and parts missing instead of completely broken down fences. I felt it would be an immersion breaker if the fences around animals were in pieces and the cows or goats were still happily standing around in imaginary pens. Enjoy!
Update 26th Nov '23.
Update 1.3 is a small update to fix a typo in the SWAP.ini. Thanks to SauteedPanda for spotting that one. Fencewoven08_E will now show up as one of the swaps. Enjoy!
Update 25th Nov '23
Diverse Farm Fences made the Hot Mods! Thanks so much to all of you who've downloaded and endorsed the mod!
Update 21st Nov '23
Update 1.2 fixes the FormIDs for the last fences added. Thanks to all who reported that!
Update 1.1. is now up. There are now 19 fence variants, and I may add more soon. The differences are subtle, but traveling around, you should notice less repetition in the fences. Mainly, I've added more leaning and broken-down fences; I've also added variants that've been repaired, have loose nails, or have lost parts altogether. Safe to update. Overwrite if you're prompted to. Enjoy!
Update 19th November.
Update 1.1 is on the way. So far, I've made seven more variants of fencewoven05 and fencewoven06. Each of these fences are a little broken down compared to the originals and (I think) add some more immersion and further variety to the mod. Expect the update to drop in the next day or so.
Hi everyone!
Thanks to all of you who've downloaded and endorsed the mod! A few of you have asked about using SD's awesome fences alongside this mod. If you install SD's Farmhouse Fences SE they WON'T get overwritten by this mod, and so you can have them installed at the same time.
Install order:
1. SD's Farmhouse Fences SE (whichever variant you want to use) 2. Install this mod and have four different types of fence around Skyrim.
Yes, that's right. This mod won't overwrite your already installed fences. However, if you don't dig the mod, it's safe to uninstall. Thanks for checking out the mod!
Also, you can customize which fences you want in the SWAP file (in case you don't like any of the fences).
I just found this mod looking for a solution to the irritating flickering fences of vanilla, and plan to try it out, but seen your reply about the stone walls and I'd very much like to see that one done. Thanks for your work and looking forward to more
Really, there aren't any dependencies. You can just install this mod without anything else. If you already have a fence mod installed, this mod won't affect that, as it doesn't cover Fencewoven01 or Fencewoven02. It also means that, if you want to, you can use this alongside another replacer. I recommend SD's fences as they're fantastic, but it's really up to you.
Ok. What does it mean when Vortex tells me that SD's Farmhouse Fences SE version one is redundant cause Diverse farm fences BOS is overwriting files for it?
In v1.5, I included the textures and meshes for SD's fences Versions One and Two. I did this as I'm planning variants of Version One in the next update. For now, I still recommend leaving SD's fences Version One installed. In other words, don't worry about that message. When I release 1.6. It'll include mesh variants for the version one fences but not their textures. For that reason, you'll still need SD's Farmhouse Fences.
I used to use it with SD's Farmhouse Fences SE. Does the latest version 1.5 include SD's Farmhouse Fences SE? Is SD's Farmhouse Fences SE not required in the latest version 1.5?
The latest version includes the version 2 SD farm fences. That means you can now have both versions in your game by installing the first version from SD's mod page and installing this mod afterward.
I've updated the description to make it all a bit clearer :)
Thanks for your reply FrankBlank, but the following conflicting normal maps are quite different to each other between SD's Fences version 1 2K and your mod:
I do not think it is a matter of resolution. As said above, I am comparing SD's Fences version 1 - 2K with your mod and these normal maps are quite different.
So, I did some digging, and you're right. I renamed the normal maps in preparation (so they wouldn't overwrite) and then forgot to change them in the meshes. The SDFences2 normals were intended for the version 2 fence. I'll get an update done this morning.
so this doesnt actually require all of those fence mods and theyre already in this mod all together?
nvm apparently, you just need one and I think what was trying to be said is this doesn't replace the vanilla fences which is why you are recommending one to replace the vanilla fence? Am I right?
Yes, that's right. The fence you already have installed won't be replaced. I did this as I've been unable to get permission from SDLutz (I don't think they're on very often now) to use their fences. This way, you can have SD's excellent fences and the other fences included in the mod, too.

At the moment love the look
So If I install your mod after it I get a nice mixture of fences?
Also, you can customize which fences you want in the SWAP file (in case you don't like any of the fences).

So you are saying that I only need Farmhouse Fences SE Version 1.
Thank you very much.
By inspecting them they are not the same , so how installation order should be?
