Ever noticed how the Long Bow isn't really a Longbow? I didn't, until recently when I started researching for an archery mod I'm currently working on.

First off, the Long Bow isn't any longer than the other bows in the game (which seem to be designed as Recursive Bows, going by my still fairly basic knowledge).
Second, the Long Bow’s frame is fairly squarish and flat, making it more like a Flatbow. A Longbow would be more rounded.

This mod fixes that! I made the Long Bow longer and the frame more rounded. The name was changed from "Long Bow" to "Wooden Longbow" .
I also added a slightly better version: The Reinforced Longbow. The stats of that bow fit somewhere between the Hunting Bow and Imperial Bow, and I've added a crafting recipe and appropriate distribution to level lists.

The mod is intended purely as a visual improvement. It does NOT alter the stats of the Long Bow in any way. As much as I would want the Long Bow to have a higher range, the range is determined by the projectiles, and not the bow (Why Bethesda? Why?).

Before you ask, yes, this mod uses vanilla assets and works with your favorite texture replacers (before you ask again, mine is Xavbio's)

Patches
The FOMOD installer comes with a couple of patches built in.

   - CCOR & WACCF by Kryptopyr
The installer includes a patch for WACCF that also supports CCOR, if it's installed.
Patches level list changes and crafting recipes only.

  - Skyrim Arrow Overhaul by MaGlas
Patches the Longbow and Reinforced Longbow to work with the changes made by SAO.

I checked some other popular archery mods, but didn't find any conflicts that would require a patch. If you find any incompatibilities, let me know and I'll look into it.


Also, obviously this mod conflicts with any mod that changes the mesh of the Long Bow.
