    Thanks Karliah conning the DB into selling their soul was one of the worst moments in the game.She even lies saying that you need the powers to defeat Mercer ,but if you do pledge your soul she tells you that you only get them after defeating him.

    what an awesome mod. It really annoys me that i have to go through all that sidequest from Vex and Delvin to restore the greatness of the thieves' guild and for some dum reason i have to also give my soul to Nocturnal coz apparently she gives luck and some powers that aren't even unique.

    She won't even give the skeleton key to the player, unlike in Oblivion. She was my fave daedra back then on the old days of Oblivion, since her artifact was one of the best ones along with Azura's Star and Wabbajack.

      only Mummy Azura is the one truly reward and care for the dragonborn.

      Karlilah is set to non-essential after the quest, so just kill her and loot it

    This mod is exactly what I need, I can't wait to play thieves guild now that I can say no to Nocturnal. I always avoided the quest chain before... Which annoys me, because I love playing thief characters... I just feel that swearing fealty to a deity is a hard line that I refuse to cross. I've done it before for characters and it just felt boring and disappointing, as bethesda's stories often do.

    The story says you need nocturnal to beat mercer, but like.... they wrote that story, they could've written it differently, because they're the one writing it.
    Just like I could type the word stroopwaffel in here. See how easy that is?
    And if you think Mercer is strong, he's not. Just go pickpocket him of his weapon when he's in the thieves guild, and he'll use some random weapon he finds on a draugr, FOR THE REST OF THE GAME. He will never replace it.
    That guy? Is who I need divine intervention to beat? Screw that! XD

    Edit: Apparently I've commented here before and forgot, my brain is silly sometimes.
    I can still type stroopwaffel though.

    Honestly, it's lame that bethesda didn't maked this a vanilla thing, I mean, Nocturnal is the most useless daedra ever, and I can kill Mercer with an arm tied to my back, what the hell Karliah means that this bullshit is the only way to defeat him? She just sells us out to compensate her debt with Nocturnal, the only good thing about this is the armor tbh, I personally always forget that the powers that Nocturnal gives you exist, and I doubt they're even usually useful...

    But the cherry on the top is that Nocturnal's key is useless for 2 reasons:
    1: you got so much lockpicks to even need the key (you could need it only in the early game)
    2: there's a perk that makes your lockpicks unbreakable

    This is a good mod. For me, sometimes I'll set in place that the reason I've been doing so well in the Thieves Guild, the reason I'm not affected by the "curse" like the others, is because Sithis and the Night Mother cloak me. The thought of turning my back on the ones who helped me blend into the shadows just to turn to another who has denied helping thus far is kind of a kick in the teeth.

    This mod is not compatible with At Your Own Pace - Thieves Guild, If you do use that mod I recommend that you disable it and enable this mod right before the ceremony.

    They should've let you keep the skeleton key without Karliah yoinking it from your inventory unprompted. But I guess that's what console commands are for. I totally would've betrayed her and killed her to keep the key if it were an option.

    Hello soupdragon, I hope you are doing ok. Would there be any chance you could share with us to which editorID in the CK those scripts from your mods are attached?

    I am close to the esp limit and trying to save as many plugin slots as possible. I can already safely compact that mod without losing the new voices but the only thing that needs a change after that is those scripts that have some hardcoded getformfromfile pointing to IDs from your esp that get changed when compacted. I have the new ID and I tried to open your mod in the CK to find the scripts and edit the ID myself so the scripts would work with the esl flagged version but I can't find any of those scripts when putting your mod as active, selecting all and show only active forms in the CK. The only one I found is tg08aquestscript but even that one doesn't look to be the same one as the source file as opening it on the CK reveals a script with a different number of lines and no getformfromfile usage.
