Beautiful! I'd love to install this, but amanita minute to clear some space, since I don't have mushroom in my mods drive. Anyway you seem like a fungi and a real morel character, so I'll stop the shiitake and spore you further truffling puns.
Ok, for those that really wanted to use this mod but found it just killed your FPS, I decided to give it a shot with SSEEdit to see if I could tone things down.
AND I did.
You will want to open Kemper's Swamp Beta.esp in SSEEdit Expand the Grass header and you will see 3 subheaders
MushroomGrass02a deathbellgrassA MushroomGrass03a
Look for the Density setting on the right pain under the DATA header default numbers are
30 5 30 for each line above.
Before you blow up your GPU, these density settings are NOT like the grass settings in the skyrim.ini where the higher the number, the less dense is the grass. I jumped to 80 and it was like a slide show on my computer. my final settings ended up being
3 1 3
where I only lose 4 or 5 fps in the swamp. There are still plenty of mushrooms and deathbells. The mushrooms have some spacing and appear more in clumps now. You will have to play around because your actual grass settings in your ini file are going to affect density. My numbers are probably this low because I'm also using a grass booster mod for all of my other ground cover.
With this adjustment I am very happy with the look and it blends well with my main grass mod which has a silvery swamp grass. I also have it paired with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/85741 Fancy Morthal Swamp Overhaul which adds in some large mushrooms to the landscape.
If you are using a grass cache, be sure to delete it each time you make a change so the game will generate grass with your new settings.
I wish I could paste this, but maybe the mod author will do so. Good Luck
Unfortunately I don't have a functional Skyrim SE Yet. I decided to upgrade and mod to the latest version which is turning into a major regret. I'll upload an image if/when I get this running.
Just wanted to drop in and say that this is easily one of the best landscape overhauls I've seen, blows my mind how underrated it is. An absolute treat in VR. Thanks for the mod!
I never thought I would ever complain about low quality textures but in this case the mushrooms really bother me. The idea is great and fits the area but theres so many mushrooms and they look so low res that it does not look good when you are close to them.
I love this mod, which radically changes the place into something more bushy and swampy. I do have one request though, is there any way to replace the mushrooms that line the ground with others? I'm a perfectionist, and I find that the angles of the mushrooms are too pronounced and visible. I'm playing in first person and it's very obvious. Mushroom mods with slightly rounder caps exist and I wonder if they couldn't be replaced with BOS, for example. 3D mushrooms Cathedral - Mushrooms
i really like really like this approach and idea behind it fits so well but could there be a light version in the future maybe? just a suggestion i need to try this first anyway. but still great idea!
(does someone know a mod with some BIG mushrooms for this area? this mod + some few giant mushrooms would be just amazing in my personal opinion)
