I think you can use ParallaxGen to generate the meshes. It's a while I didn't use it, but check its description page. If I remember you need the parallax textures, then run parllaxGen it will find the parallaxtexture and create a mesh for it, then enable the parallaxgen meshes. You also need Community Shader or ENBSeries.

Well, in my opinion, if it were a slightly darker shade of gray, it would be perfect.

The texture looks great. Is there any way to increase the parallax effect? In your second picture, when looking at the bannered mare, the road looks really flat even with parallax

Thanks. It's possible, by increasing the contrast of the heightmap, though it may be to much for a walking stone floor, I mean it may be too hard to walk on it, especially in a big city. Also I plan to do a PBR version next time I will work on it.

It just my personal preference. It's still a phenomenon retexture, hoping for the pbr version soon. Thank you for your work

Why did you halve the resolution of the normals in this update? I'm not complaining, just curious.

It will save a lot of vram, improve perfs and for same visual quality so far, and it's a floor, so it's ok about very fine details.

Thanks! I wish more authors offered lower res options. Lately 4K only releases have become a minor pet peeve of mine. Or the Main file is 4K and the 2K textures is an optional download (but the main file is still required), taking up even more bandwidth and storage space. When you have as many mods downloaded as me, that's a LOT of storage. You can't just delete the textures from the main file, because the 2K version may not replace every texture..

I hear you. Same for me, quite anoying to download gigabytes high res package for using a low res package upon it :)

Looks fantastic, but I'm having an issue with it giving a "blackish glow", which gives my PC a soft glow when superimposed. Maybe it has something to do with my shadows? No other texture has this particular problem for me. I'm still using it but just wondered if I can adjust something.

I don't have this issue, maybe it's some Enbseries settings? I use Community Shaders. It can be some Reshade preset config issue too.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Using Ruby ENB. I don't know enough about textures to solve it.

Thanks for the reply, I am using Community Shaders also. For ReShade, I'm not sure if this issue was present before installing, and I will double check by switching it on and off, but I'm pretty certain it was this way before too.
Hmm, I'll play around with CS settings to see if anything changes.

If you have CS, you don't have to use much more Reshade shaders, it has already lot of nice shaders enabled. I just use one or two Reshade shaders in addition (check my Reshade True Light for CS preset).

The v1.2 should fix that vanilla Ambient Occlusion issue, at least it's fixed during my tests. It was due to some normal mapping values.

this is an absolutely great retexture, i was using whiterun stonefloors pfuscher for over 4 years and finally switched to this and really love it. i prefer the ground textures 100% because it's "whiterun" i.e. the ground looks lighter and feels more immersive.
My only gripe is that because the textures are lighter, those trims around the road that separate the road from grass and buildings (the same material as those steps leading up to drunken huntsman) are way too dark now because of the relative contrast. It's a bit jarring to look at for me and was hoping if perhaps it's possible to provide a retexture for those in an optional update so that it can match better. Those are just vanilla and haven't found any mods that retexture those features yet.
My idea for the texture of the dark grey trims would be to make it either a lighter grey stone (not lighter than the floor though), or a medium light wood similar to the wood floor elements already present in the city because those already fit well (you'll see one on the left of breezehome).
Would really appreciate if you could at least look into it! But no pressure and thank you again!

Thanks. Finding a good set of textures that match contrast everywhere is not easy. I had some good results with Skyland and Skyland - Green Tundra, but it's not perfect. I guess I will have to do some work around Whiterun, when I will have some time.

Is there a no parallax version?

Nope, but it should work without parallax as well, as they are just textures. When using parallax, it will also use the third heighmap texture (xxx_p.dds), but without parallax it will just use the two first textures (diffuse and normal map).

There is a shiny element to it and npcs have a strange glow around them using nat enb

yep, possible, I don't use Enbseries but Community shaders. I guess there's some pixels colors or normals that have some effects with some Enbs.

that glow around them is because of ambient occlusion. it happens in grasslands as well.

These textures look great. Have you considered opening permissions to allow a port to XBox (Bethesda.net)? I know the console community would love this mod.

Thanks. I’m not keen on porting this to Xbox, as the original texture is from Quixel, which is affiliated with Epic Games. If they discover it on Xbox, they might not be pleased. However, I believe they would be fine with a mod for Skyrim PC, as long as it’s non-commercial and we credits them. Still, we should use it with caution, as they could revoke permission at any time.

I don't see parallax effect but other parallax textures seem to work. Any idea why?

Sound like you don't use parallax meshes. This is textures only, so you still need special parallax meshes for that.
Try this one for example: Vanilla Complex Parallax - Whiterun
Or this one: Parallax Enabled Meshes Collection
For parallax meshes. Also be sure to have Enbseries or Community Shaders with parallax enabled.

Any way you could upload a darker variation of this texture?  something almost like grayish-black slate?

The wrstonefloor01 texture is a bit darker than the wrstonefloor02, and it is in the pack. It the most darker I can do without to be too dark comparing other textures.
