Changelogs
Version 1.1.0
More of the sky is now rendered into the cubemap. Namely, the moons will now appear in reflections.
Added an option, forceFullCubemapRefresh, to refresh the entire cubemap each frame. Normally, the game only renders 2 sides of the cubemap each frame, so some sides can be up to 2 frames late. This is off by default.
Note: If you are seeing blocky tree reflections, make sure you are using the latest Engine Fixes VR.
Note: This mod is currently NOT compatible with SkyVRaan (as of 21-10-2023). If you were using SkyVRaan and disable it, you will also need to rerun any Synthesis patches without SkyVRaan's water color esp. Also if you were still using SkyVRaan's old Synthesis patchers, you need to rerun Synthesis without those as well. Thanks Shizof for this information.
This mod enables cubemap water reflections for the sky, as well as land, object, and tree LODs. It also adds reflections for the moons and allows for refreshing the cubemap fully each frame, instead of over 3 frames which is what the game normally does.
The first part is effectively setting the following ini settings:
For some reason, in Skyrim VR, these settings are not settable via the game's ini files or console commands and are off by default, so they require a dll to edit the memory directly.
Each setting can be changed in this mod's ini file (cubemap_reflections.ini).
Huge thanks to Shizof, alandtse, and others for looking into this as well.
