Now you can turn your septims into golden chocolate coins, your gold ore into roughly melted chocolate lumps, and your gold ingots into gold wrapped chocolate bars. Just go to the cooking pot and start melting your gold down into food.
Yes, this is a very silly mod, but it is only a
Recipes:
1 Gold Ore to one Chocolate Lump - 250 seconds of warmth, fortified stamina, and medium hunger.
1 Gold Ingot to one Chocolate Bar - 600 seconds of warmth, fortified stamina, large hunger, and a little boost to barter.
Compatibility:
Should be compatible with anything as long as nothing removes the base ingredients from the game. No scripts or ongoing effects, but if you uninstall mid playthrough it will leave the new food items in the save, so you will want to clean your save with Resaver and ideally, make sure you aren't carrying any of them. Just to be safe.
All foods have survival and warmth ratings so should work automatically with any mod that works with Survival mode effects (though I have only properly tested it with Sunhelm so far).
Visuals:
The food will use your existing installed meshes and textures for gold coins, ore, and ingots. None are included in this mod.
My current screenshots show septims from JS Purses and Septims SE and ore and ingots from Skyland Bits and Bobs - A Clutter Overhaul, just to show what this mod looks like in my game.

Future plans if I don't get bored and wander off:
- Statue of Dibella. The Ultimate Easter gift.,
- learning how to make custom textures to actually make things look like chocolate.
- I feel like this would be an appropriate power or learnt skill from something, rather than a default recipe. E.g. Skills of the Wild, Wintersun (maybe a Zenithar blessing?) or learnt from the Gourmet. Once I decide which, I'll figure out if I can make a patch for the most appropriate option.
I have also figured out how to make it into a spell to transmute money into food, although it might be better to just turn it into bread or something more widely compatible than custom food. And I haven't figured out how to make it a concentration spell yet, though it might make a fun enchantment to pair with something like Summermyst's 'random gold generation' enchantment.
But at that point I got sidetracked creating a spell to burn money for warmth. Which I entertained me much more, so I'm currently working on that instead. I'm still trying to figure out the game balance for it though.
