Hmmm I read the description, but I still would like to ask if there's a way to use this mod to make men walk like my fem PC? it's a simple unisex custom animation imo, just every time I switch from my main femme to a male PC I feel like I'm driving a mecha bot 😂
For those who are against this style of mod due to modern societal reasons: It is crazy to me to say that a women Must look manly while walking to Look like a warrior. This is bs and it implies that feminine women cannot fight or intimidate. So yeah I'm a fan of this as I want my warrior female friends to not walk like a stereotypical manly man to validate their strength. Plenty of athletically looking women have very feminine personalities and I am still intimidated by their athletic skills. The idea that strong women can't be "hot" or that hot women can't be intimidating in a battle is beyond sexist. If you disagree with me, that is fine. This is my opinion and it is subjective and all are entitled to their own opinions. If u don't believe in feminism or gender equality, oh well... Good luck continuing that way on a world that increasingly changes away from these old values. People change, times change, the world changes, if u stuck to the past you'll be more and more like in an alien world. Tolerate the different doesn't mean agree or endorse, u can disagree with someone's life style while respecting their own decisions on their own lives and just move on with yours. Live and let live after all...
Love it! Agree 100 percent! Also objectively the male animations just look stupid on the female frames. They are holding their arms a mile from their body even when standing still. If it was scaled down (75% female stance, 25% male) to where their arms just missed their bulky armor and sword it would be one thing but Lydia with full gear still is holding her arms 4 or 5 inches away from her body for no reason. It looks incredibly uncomfortable and I love the gorilla references people use. To me it looks like a child walking around pretending like they are a gorilla. The fact people can find offense at people wanting that gone from their game is laughable.
Very happy to find this mod. Last one I found was Lydia only and it was one of the dozens of mods that actually changed the least attractive/immersive part of Lydia. Now I can use whatever replacer mod I want (or none at all) and still enjoy the immersion of Bethesdas vaguely "human like" npcs!
If someone was disagreeing for "societal reasons" it'd be because they disagree with the interpreted intent of this change: forcing women into overt femininity upon the grounds of simply being women, not because they believe that femininity is weak, or that athletic people can't be feminine. I'm not saying that's an appropriate reaction to the mod, nobody has to like any video game animations, but let's not strawman if we are invoking societal discourse in the first place.
TOTALLY agree, Kat. A woman should never have to act like something she isn't just to earn respect.
In the specific case of the anim genderflip flag, not only is it unnecessary, it looks stupid on human NPCs, as Sasspiria said. I've been trying and trying to fix it on Rayya, including resorting to follower replacers, and nothingworks. If I install a follower standalone, she's fine; install the same follower as a Rayya replacer and suddenly she walks like a ruptured duck. No matter what I do, she walks like she's carrying two invisible suitcases.
Posts seem to indicate she has been a longstanding problem. If anyone's actually managed to fix Rayya, I'd love to know what worked. (I tried Save Unbaker, and that didn't help either.)
(Update: Further reading suggests the key, where possible, is to apply fix, THEN revert to a save from BEFORE YOU FIRST MEET HER. The unbaker appears to not always work, perhaps specifically in 1.6.1170.)
It has the same effect, but it works differently. Unlike the synthesis patch you don't have to rerun this one every time you change your load order. Just install it once and forget about it.
If you apply an opposite-gender animation fix, such as this one, BEFORE you meet Rayya, it fixes her just fine and she walks like a woman, Save Unbaker or none. If you apply a fix, whether or not it includes Save Unbaker or a replacer, AFTER you first meet Rayya, then heaven and earth together won't fix her stance. But take that exact same fix and reload from a save BEFORE you got her ... and she'll be fine.
It's possible that what's going on here is that Save Unbaker doesn't work correctly in 1.6.1170, but this mod does.
Thanks for creating this. For some reason though, it doesn't work for me for Lydia (I'm using the Improved Follower Lydia mod). I tried a new save as well and still nothing. Any ideas?
EDIT: Scratch that. I needed to install Save Unbaker.
