Have you lowered all the trees, or just the additional ones added by fabled forest? Will the change in height be gone if i delete or disable your mod? Thank you.

I've lowered all the pine tree models, and yes, if you delete my mod, you will get floating trees.
Kojillama will fix the problem in a future update, but I don't know when he will release it.

in a lot of places where there are pines, the screens are from riverwood entrance and near the bridge by honningbrew meadery.
the issue is more noticeable if you use the vanilla size variant of fabled forests.

Anyway, as stated in the description page, use this just as a temporary fix until Kojillama releases an update that fixes the problem.

This doesn't happen in my game at all and I have vanilla sized option.

EDIT: Nvm, I had the ESP disabled. This only happens with records edited by the fabled forests.esp

Sinking the trees like this by editing them in nifskope will break the 3D-lod files because they use cr32-checksum of the files in their file names. Editing the base meshes in any way changes the checksum thus requires 3D-lods to be renamed. Base object swapper can be used to globally sink the trees without editing the model itself (or actually changing the base object).

Thank you for your feedback, please tell me more.
By breaking the 3D lod files you mean that they will not be displayed ingame or cause CTD?
Can this issue be fixed by rerunning dyndolod?

By breaking I mean that DynDOLOD will no longer recognize the 3d lod files when generating DynDOLOD. If you have already generated DynDOLOD before installing this mod, then it will not break lods.

Base object swapper method, for example sinking all Treepineforest by 50 units:

      [Forms]
      TreePineForest01|TreePineForest01|posR(0.0,0.0,-50.0)
      TreePineForest02|TreePineForest02|posR(0.0,0.0,-50.0)
      TreePineForest03|TreePineForest03|posR(0.0,0.0,-50.0)
      TreePineForest04|TreePineForest04|posR(0.0,0.0,-50.0)
      TreePineForest05|TreePineForest05|posR(0.0,0.0,-50.0)

Thank you, I will try to edit only the roots then use base object swapper to swap the models instead of replacing them directly

A BOS version would be nice, let us know!

If you swap to edited version of the model instead of sinking the trees with BOS that will also break 3d lod for those who haven't generated yet.

Then the best solution would be to upload new 3D LODs for the modified nifs?

No, best solution would be to not modify nifs at all and instead do what I gave as example in the above comment.

I don't think that it will work because here I've edited the Happy Little Trees models that Fabled Forests uses

Thank you, This will certainly work, but the approach to solving the problem is too radical. ;)
