Ever wonder why every town, tavern, house, cave, and dungeon in Skyrim had the same or similar beds? Was your fragile immersion shattered into pieces once you realized this horrifying fact? Worry no more! I bring to you a solution to all your (bed related) woes!


This mod will create diversity in Skyrim's towns and cities. Inns will now have different beds in each city. Jarls will sleep in their own bed different from other jarls. The children in Honorhall Orphanage will now sleep on boards placed on cut barrels (more reason to murder Grelod to death). And various others through the land of Skyrim.

I have tested the mod as best I can with the limited time I have available to mod and almost everything is working as intended (almost, see known issues below). However, due to the vast nature of Skyrim and the sheer number of beds I couldn't possibly test every single area. A small amount of clipping may be present in some areas {see photos) but I haven't found anything too bad. If you find something particularly egregious please take a screenshot and let me know and I will see what I can do. You can easily change the swapped models in the _SWAP.ini file. The editorID is the same as the .nif name in 99% of cases. Super easy to figure out.


Added support for Ignoble Beds (BOS version) and renthal's Village beds - Base Object Swapper in the form of an optional .ini file. Let my mod overwrite everything bed related and hide or delete the _SWAP.ini files from those mods.

COMPATIBILITY:
Probably not compatible with Use Those Blankets or other mods that add or change bed .nifs


KNOW ISSUES:

1. Some beds had to be rotated 180 degrees to look right in the area they occupy. Because of this the actor sleeps on the bed with their head at the foot. I've only seen this very few times. I simply roleplay they had a bit too much mead/wine and are sleeping the wrong way or they have turned and moved in their sleep. If this bothers you its simple to change that model to another one in the .ini
If you know how to fix please inform

1a. Some models are rotated 90 degrees. If they weren't the npc would sleep horizontal and look completely unimmersive

2. Minor clipping in some areas.

3. Some bed models were floating above the ground. I fixed it but now the actor will float slightly above the bed. I don't know how to fix and have only seen it once. In my opinion its better than the bed floating. If anyone knows how to fix please inform.

This mod is not 100% perfect but I'm very proud of it and think it adds much needed diversity. I am open to polite comments on how to improve!
