Oh man, thanks! :) I love JS purses and septims and this was one of the reasons I've been flip flopping between other septim retextures. Would it also be possible to have them be heads when you see them in the game world, like counters and tables? I notice they're on the tails side by default too.
It may be possible to change the rotation of the game world coins with Base Object Swapper, I tried tinkering around with it but couldn't get the coins to actually flip to show the heads. Other than that I think you would have to manually rotate every coin in the CK which sounds like it would be very time consuming lol.
Actually, after looking at other coin retextures, some do show heads by default on tables and bar counters. I think it has to do with the nif file. Going with a coin retexture that's only textures (like the Alessian one), they show up on the heads side, but JS uses his own custom mesh. I wonder if there's a way to remove the mesh dependency? I tried deleting the mesh and changing the textures to vanilla pathing, but that made the coin look weird. I also tried other coin retexture meshes with JS's and changed the file paths to match and the coin ends up funky, like heads and tails are both imprinted on the same side and the sides are misaligned. It might even be a simple fix, but I'm no expert on that.
Was overthinking this a bit, it was as simple as rotating the mesh in NifSkope, update should be available! Let me know if you have any problems with the installer.
No need to apologize. I am grateful that you took the time to go the extra mile. This latest update seems to work perfectly. I would endorse you twice if I could. Thank you very much :)
This works great, thanks! btw I think you need another version for people who used the "Direct Replacer (No ESP)" version of the JS Purses mod. The path in that version is the vanilla /meshes/clutter/coin01.nif. I just moved your coin to the correct path manually during the install (easy to do with MO2). Then I tested it in game and it works great. fyi, normally you can't see coins in your inventory, but I'm using AddItemMenu so I can just search for septim and look at it in that menu.

But in the inventory, it is now on tails again and upside down XD:
