Thanks a lot, I was looking for something like this ! I always liked collecting gems but I'm not so fond of the whole LOTD mod. I just regret I can't display my brand new shiny collection, it's such a shame to let them sleep in a chest. Does someone know a mod which would let me expose the gems ?
one of those nice flattish weapon display cases should hold a good 10-16 gemstones, one should think. (Do you have any idea how many years I've heard radio ads from The Shane Company? Jewelers like to advertise!!)
I've found these mods which let me put some gems on bookshelves https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2885?tab=files or this one (it's for oldrim but it's working out of the box for SE as it's just one script) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/101320/?tab=description It's not perfect but it's still nice.
so description says we dont need LOTD for it, but i use LOTD. so my question is this. can i use both but have this overwrite LOTD to just get the gems into the game via unleveled?
Sorry for late response, but no, that wouldn't work because the gems in this mod have different IDs to LOTD's gems, so they can't be displayed in the museum.
Not compatible. I believe the author of that mod provided most of the assets for the original LOTD gems, so there's A LOT of overlapping gems between these mods. Plus both edit same leveled lists.
As someone who hopelessly obsesses over all things shiny and gemlike this is likely going to drive me insane hoarding everything I encounter. Just hoping its compatible with Diamond Smithing.
Figured I would ask, but is this compatible with Complete Crafting Overhaul Remastered? That mod has its own gems it adds, but does have an option to toggle them off.
Not fully compatible. If you load this plugin after CCOR you'll get the gems from this mod and won't break anything, but some gems will have 2 versions and you can't use the ones from this mod for crafting.
I see I see. I will keep testing it. So far in the deleveled version, I have yet to find any new gems out in the world. I am trying the vanilla version to see if that changes anything. The crafting isn't important to me, I just want to find the unique shinies out there :) Thank you for the response!
It shouldn't make difference which version you use, if the new gems won't appear ingame something is likely overwriting the leveled list changes. Try loading this mod towards the end of your loadorder. If you have bashed patch, I've uploaded new version that should work properly with default bashed patch settings, just remember to rebuild the bashed patch. Lastly, most of the hand placed gems in the world spaces aren't leveled, so those will still always be vanilla gems.
Thank you for this! Do you think would be possible to do a standalone version of the Fate Cards? Always good to find collectibles while exploring. Thx in advance
The fate cards seem a bit trickier to add since they're not base game concept and therefore have no leveled lists to smoothly distribute them to proper containers/actors. Adding them directly to all sorts of chests', bandits', etc leveled lists would be compatibility hell. Maybe bashed patch could fix that, but I'm not too familiar with how they work. SPID may be another option, but I have even less experience with that, so no promises for now.

Note, I said a bright lad. I am not qualified as bright in item modeling.
