Description

wSkeever's Sunhelm Auto Eat and Drink repurposed for CC Survival Mode. Automatically eat items in your inventory prioritizing less filling items.

Differences from Sunhelm Version

  • Auto drink functionality has been removed as Survival Mode does not have the thirst mechanic.
  • Minor tweaks to the MCM options to account for my changes.
  • Option to ignore food items for auto consumption using keyword.
  • Option to configure polling interval to check for hunger status. This is mostly a utility option I created for myself.

Compatibility

In addition to the vanilla survival mode, this mod is compatible with any of its variations as long as the intent of the globals and spells related to the hunger mechanic are not significantly modified.

This mod was tested with vanilla Survival Mode and Survival Mode Improved - SKSE.

Mechanics

Auto consumption is skipped for the following cases:
  • Survival Mode is disabled
  • Mod is disabled (via MCM or hotkey)
  • Player is in combat
  • Player is going to sleep / is sleeping / is waking up
  • Ingestible is not flagged as a food item OR is a poison or is marked as ignored (see below).

NOTE:
Food items required for quests, e.g. Sadri's Sujamma may get auto consumed. As a workaround, you can temporarily disable the mod or mark the items as ignored until the related quest is completed. A list of beverages used in miscellaneous quests in an unmodded game is listed here.

The plugin categorizes food items, raw meats and alcoholic items from the vanilla game and DLCs. The included KID and FLM config automatically adds mod added food items to the required form lists through the use of KID's filtering mechanism as long as the mod items are patched to restore hunger through the survival mode mechanics.

If configured to include alcoholic items, the same would be consumed first before the food items. Alcoholic items are considered to restore Very Small  amount of hunger. They will restore hunger if they are patched to use survival mode mechanics.

Raw meats will be consumed only if player has immunity to disease or is a beast race (Argonian / Khajiit). These conditions are the same as that
used by Survival Mode to decide whether to apply food poisoning. To include a mod added raw meat item, add the keyword Survival_RawMeat or add it to the formlist with editor ID Survival_FoodRawMeat (Form ID: 0x8B0) present in the CC Survival Mode plugin.

Existing KID config classifies vanilla alcohol items and those added by some popular mods. To classify an item as an alcohol, add the keyword VendorItemAlcohol. The FLM config will then add it to the appropriate formlist. If this step is not performed, it would be treated as a food item.

To ignore a food item from being automatically consumed, add the keyword Survival_IgnoreAutoEat.
