Thank you, Bob. I currently have 520 mods installed with 282 active mods and 236 active plugins. I reduced the no. of plugins using Merge Plugins but it definitely has its limitations. I try new mods often in various combinations and keep what I like and discard what I don't. But I like variety so when I get tired of one thing, I try something else. A good example is I got tried of the wet skin look and recently switched Amber's body textures to a no gloss appearance which I think looks better in the context of most scenes/pics.
Your game has been looking better also and I have enjoyed your recent screenshots.

Gurley, your game looks great and the screens are high quality. Good setting and lighting for pics on an obviously high end rig. Looks like it's time to do my next build. Personally I prefer this skin texture without the glossy or wet look as you do, although there are some places where the wet look fits (thinking of KapGun's character). You're not messing with CBBE? Can't say I blame you, since UNP is so well developed and covered by so many secondary mods. Really nice stuff here!

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful input.
There's a funny often quoted phrase in the game: Gold solves most problems.
Well, with respect to gaming, a high end computer system solves most problems. :)
And yes, you should build a new rig. It's a tough time to build one though because the video card prices are so high due to Bitcoin miners buying them up.

Agree with you regarding textures. One day we will have dynamic textures so that when you get out of the pool naked (yes, Ayita I'm thinking of you), you look wet. But getting back down to earth, I generally think the non-glossy, no goosebumps, non-wet textures look better for most pictures. For instance, the problem I see with wet pics, even those of Ayita, the closer you get the less realistic the wet textures look.

As for CBBE, I think it's great that players have alternate choices but I prefer the UNP/UUNP bodies and textures. It just boils down to a matter of taste and I am so heavily invested in UNP based mods that I will probably never switch to CBBE. The obvious issues are with armor/clothing and I think there is still more available for UNP though the Bodyslide modders are closing the gap. But there are also quest mods that I enjoy like Maids II: Deception which don't have stand alone bodies for its hundreds of characters but use UNP based armor and clothing. So if you use a CBBE body, you get some nasty clipping at the hips, etc. in all of those characters.

Definitely the vid card that has kept me from building....I've been watching pretty close. That and I haven't found the new generation mobo that really grabs me yet.

Completely agree about the real close in on the wet texture...better to stay back just a bit.

I have this Zotac GTX 1060 6gigs of VRam on my other computer and it's a darn good video card. This one's at NewEgg for $329

Don't let the small form factor fool you; it's a powerful card and I haven't had any problems with it.

You've got good taste (says the guy with many of the same mods in his LO).

Outstanding pics here. This is a Skyrim worthy of playing in!

Appreciate it and I understand. It's not a matter of conceit but rather I think thoughtful players create trends because they recognize the quality of well designed mods. Obsidian Weathers and Seasons is a good example of a positive trending weather mod because anyone can see/feel the aesthetic cloud formations, the lovely mountain fogs with inclement weather yet clear/non-hazy general atmosphere.
What makes a weather mod, an armor mod or textures in general look good/appealing? They look and/or sound more realistic/immersive.

Yea, it's a high end Intel system that I built back in November; basically an early Christmas present to myself. hahaa
The video card is not the best but it's an Nvidia GTX 1070 with 8 gigs of VRam so it handles most of the Skyrim graphics pretty well.

Thanks. Got tired of the wet look; this is the no gloss textures.
I'm like an ongoing beta tester, always trying something different. :)
The scenery around Lake Honrich is always lovely.
