Bone Charms:
Bone charms were created by Dragon Cult shamans, imbued with magical power and given to the most valiant and prominent Dragon Cultists. Regular draugr in Dragon Cult temples may be in possession of one, and bosses will always have a bone charm. Bone charms have two uses:
I - They can be used to power up Dragon Cult artifacts, providing bonus effects in addition to their basic enchantments. You need to read the Arcane Tome found in Bleak Falls Barrow first. After that, all you need to do is carry bone charms in your inventory, and bonus effects on any Dragon Cult artifacts you have will be activated automatically.
II - A second Arcane Tome, located in Yngol's Barrow, will teach you how to upgrade Dragon Cult artifacts. These artifacts are leveled, and which version you get will depend on the player's level upon entering the specific dungeon where they are found. With the knowledge obtained from the Arcane Tome you will be able to upgrade an artifact to next leveled version, consuming a number of bone charms in the process.
Dragon Cult Artifacts:
A number of Dragon Cult artifacts have already been added to the mod, but so far only one benefits from the Bone Charm system. More will be added with future updates. Hold on to any unique items you find on named Draugr or in dungeons.
Dragon Cult artifacts are leveled, but if you get a low level version early on you can reforge it to a better version once your character levels up enough. The recipe to upgrade it will appear at any forge once you have read the Arcane Tome in Yngol's Barrow and are at a suitably high level. Reforging an artifact will remove any tempering present on the old version.
