Skyrim Special Edition

Summary:

While Daumbra's new features (hoverboard, javelin throw, etc) are tied to story progression, her perks are tied to your player level. This article details when you get what, and it also has a reference for what each DAR folder does, in case you wish to customize her animations.

Stats:

Her class is CombatWarrior2H, she levels at 1.1 the rate of the character, and her level range is 1 through 100.

She has health and stamina offsets of 50 points each, but the stat that matters the most by far is Two-Handed, as she's a two-handed sword. That starts at 65, and reaches 100 as early as level 17!

Her damage per second starts at 19, but gains a fifth of your level (i.e. by level 50, it's become 29). This may not seem like much, but paired with her insanely high Two-Handed skill and the perks you'll see below, she becomes a force to be reckoned with.

With her reaching her Two-Handed max so soon, it didn't make sense to tie her Perk Skill Tree to that stat, so instead, I tied it to the player's level, as follows:

Perks:

  • Level >= 20: Champion's Stance
  • Level >= 25: Devastating Blow
  • Level >= 30: Great Critical Charge
  • Level >= 35: Deep Wounds
  • Level >= 40: Sweep
  • Level >= 45: Sweep (All Power Attacks)
  • Level >= 50: Knockback (Side Power Attacks)
  • Level >= 55: Sweep (All Attacks(!!))
  • Level >= 60: Knockback (All Power Attacks)

I'd say things start to get really fun at level 45 when she becomes a crowd-control head-removal machine. Level 60 with knockback (think of minor Fus-Roh-Dah) on multiple enemies on a single swing? Yeah, it starts to get a little silly. But hey, you ground for thousands and thousands of XP, so I say you deserve it! :)

She also has perks for two other Skill trees that operate a bit more normally:
  • Free: Stealth
  • Sneak >= 30: Muffled Movement (if in Body form, she gets this at 20)
  • Sneak >= 40: Lightfoot (unavailable in Body form)

  • Free: Shield Wall
  • Block >= 30: Power Bash (unavailable in Body form)

  • Companion's Insight: Free (yeah, or else Sweep would be a problem!)

And lastly, in sword form, as a Daedric artifact, she is immune to Paralysis, Disease, Poison, and even Stagger!

(Technical note: for her humanoid form (or enemies she controls) the perks are all combined into one. SPID gives this combo perk to all actors, but it only unlocks for those who become controlled by Daumbra).

Custom Animation:

Through the magic of DAR, she has custom animations for both her sword (whether flying by your side or in your hands) and body forms ("body form" in this case also includes the unfortunate enemies that pick her off the ground when she's temporarily knocked-out). In case you wish to customize her animations, here's what each DAR folder does:

  • 2130083627: 34% random Attacks for Generic Humanoid (not you) wielding Daumbra
  • 2130083628: 33% random Attacks for Generic Humanoid (not you) wielding Daumbra
  • 2130083629: 33% random Attacks for Generic Humanoid (not you) wielding Daumbra
  • 2130083630: Generic Humanoid (not you) wielding Daumbra
  • 2130083631: Daumbra in body form sitting on her floating sword, patrolling
  • 2130083638: Player using Naenra Staff
  • 2130083639: Player Hoverboarding

I hope this helpful, enjoy!
