The Native - Only in Chanterelle
Born in Chanterelle. They are from Nord origin, the old nordic ruins have probably been built by their ancestors. They fight against all intruders and settlers. A lone hunter will probably not have trouble with them. All the male natives disappeared years ago. You maybe will find some clues about it.
- No worship -
Ennemy of Tribal and Lost Legion
Native Outfit: Forsworn, but they have custom weapons
The Tribals
Fierce and aggressive. They paint their body black, with a white skull on their faces. Their women have a white hand on the mouth - probably to remind them to stay silent.
They occupy most of the Hall of the Mountain King region, establishing camps. They live for hunt. Manhunt. They worship the Great Old Ones - the Otherwordly entities from beyond space, feared even by aedras/daedras. Some of their weapons are guarded in secret places, too powerful to be used in Tamriel.
Some Tribal became "Waagh" and fight against their own tribe.
- Unspeakable worship -
Ennemy of everybody and themselves
Tribal Outfit: Forsworn and rags, rustic weapons
The Lost Legion
Remnants of an empire army. The Legion tried to conquer Chanterelle, but was pushed in the Hall of the Mountain King by the Natives. The Agaune Pass was the fortress allowing the soldiers to go back to Skyrim, until it's capture by the Natives (destruction of the village of Gruezidorf in those same years).
The Legion abruptly lost all contact with the empire, and Solitude didn't sent any reinforcement.
The Lost Legion built a settlement at the entry of the Cento Vallis valley, the castle went in ruins long ago when Tribal made an assault.
The Legion's children kept the empire duty. They consider themselve as empire's soldiers, even if nobody in Tamriel is aware of their existence.
- lost their worship long ago -
Ennemy of Tribal and Native
Lost Legion Outfit: mixed, from rags and robes to full imperial armor

(Team members thoughts)
There is a book quest in the mod which can define what's really going on based on one man's thoughts on the study of the natives and Chanterelle.
Another possibility has something to do with the nymph mod. If so, the Natives are not really Nords, they are nymphs, unageing women unable to bear male children.
Or perhaps they have a Black Widow complex and abduct men from the Legion and the Tribals, drug them, mate and kills them when they are done with them. Maybe they are the real evil group on the island...
The real problem here is that at this point of development people do not talk much. I hope that at some point the people of Chanterelle are going to be more fleshed out as npc's so it will be possible to converse with them a bit.
It should be noted that the Natives are all female, while the other two are mixed. Wonder how the Natives make children, LOL
