Neat idea but looks like too much of a buff almost for free. Placing it in some kind of ruins with some boss guarding it like bosses in Colorful Magic would be a win for me.
I second this notion. Brilliant mod though, very few mods actually make gems worth something in this game. Maybe make an Enchantable or Lootable magical gems that buff the player as long as they remain in inventory or when used to forge a piece of Jewelry, e.g a Flawless Emerald that increases health by 20 points and has a recipe to smith an Emerald Silver Necklace with base 20+ health and can also be further enchanted, that would be cool too.
