I love this mod but as I've noticed it doesn't work in Ravenrock

I wonder if there are any mods that go well with this one, something to do while in prisons, you know? My first thought was Tavern Games, but you'd have to do a little fiddling to get that to work in Prisons, also a populated prison mod.

Thanks for the mod! I love the lockpick system. It's a shame prisons haven't received more love from the modding community. There's so much opportunity for immersive storytelling and roleplaying.

This is a good, lightweight alternative to Lamanna's (notoriously buggy) Life in Prison. The only thing I find a bit off-putting is that you're forced to serve every day of the sentence from start to finish, the only alternative being to break out and get an even higher bounty. This is obviously a problem for those who use mods which increase bounties. I mean, it's a long wait even with a vanilla murder bounty.

Instead of changing the vanilla bounty settings for serving time, a good solution would be simply to give the option of serving your entire sentence when clicking on the bed in addition to the regular sleep option. That way, the mod will still make prisons more immersive because every day you're in there will be a choice of whether to wait for another chance of a lockpick or to just serve the sentence. If you remove the daily stat decreases and replace them with Oblivion's scaled jail-time stat decreases (either directly in this mod or through sagittarius22's mod), it would make this decision far more interesting, especially with longer sentences:

"Do I wait a few more days for a lockpick (which might just break anyway) or suffer the stat decreases and carry on adventuring?"

These are tiny changes, but they'd make the mod far more appealing and accessible while still being lightweight, stable and highly compatible. It'd be a roleplaying calculation between losing your real-life time or losing some in-game progress which would make prisons simultaneously easier to escape and scarier places to end up.

I really hope you return to this mod! So much potential...

I think that using with vanilla or similar values, is sufficient longer and bored like being a prisoner, so is good for my undertanding.
But for mods that dramatically increase bounty, i can create a script update with another fixed value.

I use this mod with Crime Overhaul and Crime Decay (where you can just go outside the hold and your bounty decrease slowly).

That sounds like a pretty good mod combo to be fair. Might give it a go myself. Massive improvement on vanilla, anyway!

    I like lightweight mods.

I think the gold penalty each day is designed to only forcing you to break the prison. And if the lockpick everyday you get is broken, you have to sleep. If you break out, bounty remains, so you finnally have to pay.(or sleeping is toooooo boring)
This means the gold 10 a day is only a "risk for crime action" if you get catched, which doesn't require you to actually finish your serving, it's only there to make jail serving unpleasing!
(Since in vanilla game you can choose to jail and bypass paying bounty, only to lose an amount of EXP and days gone. This would solve this unbalanced issue.)

It could be less or configuratable, as an alternative to finish serving if you just keep sleeping (I.E. you just want it boring without paying bounty), or if you just can't pick the damn lock or just unable to break out , but still as a high risk when you facing the penalty of crime action.
Though, this gameplay should be not affected, even if you can only minor 1gold per day.

Is there any way to increase the bounty lost each day from say 10 to say 20 or 40? I have other mods that mod the crime amount.

is necesary to re-compile the script, is better for you to use default vanilla values (or similar) because any mod normally is created focused in this values.

I use the True Medieval Economy mod and for example, I have murder set to 10,000. So I would spend around 3 years in jail/prison. I am going to try it and see what happens. Three years for that crime is not a lot. LOL. I'll let you know if it works.

Looks very interesting! I tested it briefly on its own, and I like it, but I am worried about increased bounty costs too (and CACO needs, but those I can disable in MCM, I guess).
Also, days are passed, but vanilla stats "Days Jailed" stays vanilla (for an assault on a citizen on 17th of Last Seed I was imprisoned for 4 days, got out on 22th, but the game still thinks the number of days I spend in jail is 1).
Oh, and bread's effect description is in spanish.

Does this affect serving time in Cidhna Mine?
Also, does this mod work well alongside Go to bed and Death Alternative? I ask because Life in Prison apparently had problems with those mods.

sorry but probably not, mostly because i dont use the mod.
the patch for ineed is a modification of ineed files.
is better to ask to the author of realistic needs.

elafrosicky - Persied hasn't been modding for several years, so the mod author won't likely be making a patch. :)

Please try, the new Optional File, check that patch override the original, and no other patch overrides this 3 scripts.
      and TELL MEE!!! if works!
i've not tested, just changed the scripts without test.
      1- Go to jail
2- Pass 2 or 3 days and check if needs grow
3- After that, serve sentence or escape, and wait 2 or 3 days and check if needs grow again.
