just downloaded this and bought the house. It's great!!! What i'm surprised is that, there's some free stuff inside the house and some item needed for some quest also..xD.
I am encountering a slight problem. The main bed where the letter table/ where those statues are has some how teleported itself into the table up stairs. I have reloaded saves, uninstalled and reinstalled etc... and can not find out what is the problem. If you or anyone else could help, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
I have no idea, not a problem with the mod, but some other ppl had similar weird stuff, usually due to old data in save game. There is a command to "reset interior" which might help, you'll have to look it up.
THANK YOU! I took a look at that mod and realized it's OK to just SCRAP the whole thing! In my own Hjerim mod I simply removed its Kicker from the Story Manager so it never starts. And I removed ALL the quest crap from the house. Much easier.
Truly a lovely, yet lightweight house mod. It's quite useful since vanilla Honeyside is arguably the worst player home with a bad layout and far too few containers. However, there are a couple of minor problems: - there's a random, non-static crate in the middle of the kitchen - the "bowl"-type and "basket"-type containers are weird, because since the bowls and baskets themselves are not static, they get knocked around. It's strange for a gem pile to be hovering above the shelf. - Sometimes the childrens bedroom does not activate properly. Specifically, one time I activated your mod with a fully furnished Honeyside but with the enchanting lab option. The childrens bedroom was empty and the steward had no option to purchase it.
Thank you. The basket and bowls can't be static and be containers at the same time, and even have "no havoc" flags, but sometimes even that's not enough and they can still get bumped. I did all I could, but game engine still messes with things. All the childrens package items are detached from the package AND the package marker is enabled at start, two things which should ensure they show up properly at the start. Not sure what else I could possibly do. I didn't mess with steward's dialogue at all in the interest of keeping this LITE.
It's a pity about the containers, but it's not that bad, since they usually reset themselves upon revisiting. I'll try to replicate the bug with the childrens bedroom and troubleshoot it.
Also, the activator boxes for the bar stools and the bewerage rack seem to be slightly off centre. Not a big problem, but it takes more time to properly "target" them with the crosshair.
The barstools are completely vanilla barstools, I didn't change them at all. I'm not sure what you meany by the "brewerage rack". Can you take a screenshot? Some of the containers are the dish some food is sitting on, or wallshelf on a bookshelf, some creative ingenuity I took to avoid having to use resources to keep this lite, the intent to eventually port them all the PS4.
By the bewerage rack I mean the shelf with the drinks in the dining room. But that's because the container is the shelf part, therefore it can't be helped. The barstools are fine, it's the "rug" part on top of them that's partially blocking the activator. I also tried to reproduce the bug with the childrens room, but it seems to have been a fluke.
Also, as for the containers, isn't it possible to make both the contents and the baskets/bowls static and create the container itself by placing an invisible box configured as a container on top of it?
>>> "placing an invisible box configured as a container on top of it?" <<< Like how vanilla bookshelves are set up? I dunno, maybe, but that sounds like a pain-in-the-arse, and I know vanilla bookshelves ARE a pain-in-the-arse, which is why I stopped doing them that way.
I absolutely love the design you came up with! The apiary I think is a must and the home has all the features I would want, in the places I would want them.
I'm having some issues with installing it however, for some reason the master bed shows up in its original position (so in the middle of the kitchen table) rather than downstairs. I tried purchasing the home and then buying all the upgrades before installing, and that caused the same error plus some of the basement rooms to become completely empty.
Any idea what might possibly be causing this? I've checked conflicts with TES5Edit and double checked it in the creation kit, it shows where it's supposed to in there. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
Hi, thank you! Afraid no earthly idea about that, never heard it before. Bed in original position def not my fault, maybe you have to reset interior? Are you installing on established game or new game? Shouldn't make a diff except about Skyrims tendency to bake old data into saves.
Thanks so much for your quick response! Yeah, it's super bizarre, I have a feeling it's the save and another mod that sets bed positions (although the conflict is gone, as you said sometimes problems remain...) I'll try resetting the interior and going back to a fresh save to troubleshoot. Thank you!
Just been nosing around the Nexus, while I'm waiting for Vortex to do its thing,(which I shouldn't do! Got another few mods to add to a growing load order!) and stumbled on this. Not crazy about the mod I'm currently using (but that's ok, I avoid Honeyside anyway!), but this one could tempt me! I'm not bothered about kids beds; haven't decided on that yet. But wonder if there's a room for the housecarl? Can't exactly kick her out the door?
Thanks so much for your quick answer. I do have a mod that puts an NPC near the back gardens; don't know if that would be a conflict. I'll just have to chase him out, I guess! :P The housecarl will be happy, thanks. :). Hoping it's okay to install during gameplay. Have had to start a new game so many times for another mod, never seem to get past levels 30- 50! ha ha. Going to be downloading this now.. Your pictures look too good not to! :)
Hey! :) Just dropping in to say thumbs up! ") Checked the house out ingame yesterday.. Like your touches. Particularly like what you've done with the kitchen and master bedroom. Looks much better. Like the greenery over walls. And particularly, the lack of clutter! Also, that there is nothing to trip over now at the bottom of the stairs! :P. Only have a couple of small mods that affect Riften, and trying to find a Honeyside that didn't CTD was a headache. Yours seems to work well. Nice job. :)
Ooh, maybe I should re-consider tossing out all the vanilla player homes! I've owned them all before, checked them out, but always found them lacking. Then once I got into modding, I thought I'd fix this with some overhaul or something, but they either completely replaced it or way over did it with clutter. Your re-design is nice and simple. Grants a nice cozy feeling without it feeling out of place, I like it. ^^
Though, I gotta ask, what texture mod you using? Looks really nice! 'v'
Thanks very much! Yes, that's the whole idea behind my "Simply Improved" series :) I use a lot of Luxor hi-res textures, and several HD plant textures.
Very nice - I like your style! Downloading Honeyside for my next game (already using another Honeyside mod this game). Will download your Proudspire Manor to use in my current game. Thank you!
Perhaps you don't need smithing inside Honeyside. Unlike Proudspire Manor, Honeyside has a Smithy close by. You could place a locked chest at Balimund's and link it to storage in Honeyside. Sorting and storing loot would all be done in Honeyside and be available right beside Balimund's forge.

Yw, and thanks for answering the question and for the great mod! ^^
