    To celebrate the second anniversary of the release of Skygerfall, we have a classic update! First, a paper map based on the original TES2 map of the Iliac Bay! (Drawn by VMBlast, used with permission, and available as an optional update here on the Nexus.) Second, some classic sounds of TES2, exclusively available on the Discord Server! (These are only loose sound files, so they will work in both LE and SE. The link is pinned in the announcements channel.)

    For those having difficulty downloading a file over 1GB, I have been told that there is an issue with Windows 10 and large files. If you download with Firefox and tell it to resume the download when interrupted, your download should finish. If you download with Chrome, it does not resume, but begins to download from the beginning and never completes.

    Don't want to start a new game? Use Realm of Lorkhan + its add-on. It's more than just an alternate start mod. It creates portals throughout Skyrim (one is in Riverwood) to the Realm. Step through the portal from Skyrim to the Realm. Then step through the portal to Daggerfall. When you are finished, you will return to the Realm, and then you can return to Skyrim. The latest LE version of Realm of Lorkhan changes the name of the plugin to Realm of Lorkhan - Custom Alternate Start - Choose your own adventure.esp. Either re-name it to Realm of Lorkhan.esp, or use Version 2.2. I recommend using Version 2.2 any way, since it is Form 43 (Oldrim), and not Form 44 (SE), as the latest version was not saved in the old CK.

    5/24/20 NEW FIX: For the rare glitch of imp wings appearing on the player character (cause unknown). If it happens to you, download the Imp Wings FIX from the Miscellaneous files, then: (1) Activate this plugin. (2) Cast the restoration spell added to your character: Imp Wings Be Gone! (3) Remove the plugin if desired. (4) Profit.

    Let's be realistic; the mod has been out for nearly two years...  There are not going to be any major bugs found, so the bugs tab has been removed.  Report your problems here, with your load order, and we will try to help you.

    Some of you have been reporting CTD when trying to enter certain areas such as castles or castle dungeons. As with other big mods, such as Bruma, it could help to install SKSE and take advantage of its memory patch with SKSE ini pre-download for lazy users - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038.

    Will you one day add the guilds? I mean you dont have to add the repeatable sidequests. It would be more fun. But it would be nice to have mage trainers in the mage guild and warrior trainers in the fighters guild so we can use our money to increase our skills. Playing a mage is alot more harder then it usually is. Because we dont have much ways to increase our skills. It would be pretty cool to just add trainers in the guilds so it can help increase our skills a little more. For the most part I am just running around using flames or frostbite. The Vampiric Touch spell is quite good though. Just an idea. But this mod is still good. I played this years ago.

    I have a couple questions.

    Can I go to Daggerfall on an already used save of skyrim or do I need a brand new save?

    Do I choose to Daggerfall or is it like Enderall where you don't go back to skyrim at all unless you have Alt Start?

      You go to Daggerfall first, and then you can continue your character's adventure in Skyrim.  It is not recommended to go to Daggerfall on an existing character, which requires console commands.

    Just finished this mod
    Holy hell the dungeon design was ass back in the mid 90s XD

    Nevertheless, it was susprisingly enjoyable, especially thanks to the new spells that were added. Good job : )

    Although, I do have a few gripes with it:
    -Alternate start that forces you to download either an alternate start selector or a mod that makes you access Daggerfall separately
    -When you delve, you're fully committed to it until you finish the entire storyline, so you cannot return to Skyrim if you want to take a break from it
    -Once you return to Skyrim, you cannot access Daggerfall again, so you're pretty much locked from its smiths and magic vendors with their unique items

    By chance, will there be an update that allows you to start Daggerfall anytime without an alternate start and the aformentioned QOL improvements?

      I'm glad you enjoyed it...

      Skygerfall is its own alternate start.  You DO NOT need any other Alternate Start mod for it to work, but I have patched it to work with a few other popular Alternate Start mods if you want to use one of them.

      The events of Daggerfall take place over 200 years before Skyrim, and I do not feel it would make sense to come and go as you please.  As it exists now, the landscape is not very developed and only serves as a prop for the quest mod.  There is really nothing to see or do once you have completed the Main Quest, so I don't see the need to return to the worldspace. 

      I have no plans to modify it to travel back and forth, but there are open permissions and anyone can upload a mod to Skygerfall if you want to.

    Hello everyone, I recently downloaded this mod. tell me, please, has anyone encountered a crash of the game when launching together with this mod? if so, how can I fix it?

      This mod does not play well with any mod that overhauls terrain in big ways. Like grass mods, or flower overhaul stuff. further more certain lighting mods don't work well either. I've modded with this mod in mind a lot to make it more enjoyable so I recommend only getting vanilla friendly mods. Meaning no AI Overhauls that change the vanilla stuff some stuff like vigor combat enhanced is fine cuz it doesn't get rid of the base games AI Functions. Also things that add to the base games merchants selling inventory's is find. The merchants in the mod share inventory's with Skyrim so anything that adds items for example will show up in Daggerfall merchants stuff. Apart from those kind of mods just run this mod by itself not even with the unofficial patch cuz that causes issues from my testing anyway. Hope this helps you :)

    It's quite an achievement. Not promising anything, but I started working on some replacement assets for Skygerfall in blender. So far I've done a handful of them modeled with PBR materials. 18 so far from the first dungeon for sure. They still look similar to the originals in size/shape/coloring, but have a bit more realism and would fit in better with the other Skyrim assets. Maybe I can do something for a few of the dungeon tilesets besides furniture. Modeling is just a hobby. I'd love to dive into the creation kit to add some more vegetation and terrain features, maybe. I'm also toying with the idea of adding an animated crow to the top of the sign outside of the first dungeon. I might even create more modernized versions of banners from the original game. Anyway, no promises, but so far so good. (And Nexus won't let me link an image...)

    "Larger than England" really isn't saying much. England is tiny. I live in Ontario, Canada, which is 8.25 times larger than England.

      Umm...  What?  The original game was comparable, but this is a mod for Skyrim, and the worldspace is about 2/3 the size of Skyrim.

      I'm just saying that England isn't that large compared to where I live. But I suppose as far as video games go, it is. Has there been a game with a worldspace as large as Ontario?

      Also, I love how fast you responded. I use an RNG to go through a list of games for me to Let's Play. I'm already playing 30ish games at once, but I rolled for a new game and rolled Daggerfall. I found a video about essential mods, and while I'd like to go the Vanilla+ route, I don't want to download 102 mods and just want to play it for timeline purposes. This might be the better route.

    I LOVE this mod, i suggest everybody to play on survival mode, its the only thing keeping game interesting when moving outside, because there is not enemies outside and the big world forces you to not make mistakes when choosing route. With that being said i really would love some enemy encounters outside. Just some wolfs (etc) could be big difference maker, also some rocks and trees outside would honestly complete the game for me. I tried to do this by creation kit but i think its too difficult to me.

      To be honest, Daggerfall is not Morrowind, and fast travel was intended.  The worldspace of Skygerfall is not developed, and you are better off just concentrating on the quests and fast travelling to your destinations.

    YAAAAAAY WOOOOOO DAGGERFALL!!!!!! YEAH!!!! YAAAAY WOHOOO DAGGERFALL TIME! i don't think i can install this because i have a fuckton of other mods installed that change so much about skyrim that I'd probably break this but YEAH! I'm sooooo hyped to see that someone else loves daggerfall!!!!! Man what a cool mod!!!
