Everything looks great except obsidian. That looks like some cartoon crap. I own an obsidian rock, and it looks NOTHING like that. It's has a wavy specularity, yes, but it's extremely faint - barely noticeable to most humans, and it is not a blue-ish green, it's more of a blue-purple. Obsidian IS, however, extremely reflective - like a mirror - and totally black, which is why it's called black glass. This obsidian needs to change.
It's called Obsidian because ingame files are called that. It's green because Glass armor and weapons in the game are green. Or are you going to tell me about how glass doesn't come in ore and ingots and are usually not green? Cuz' if you do, I've got fire-breathing dragons and a talking dog to sell you.
09jiaedinois I cant help but agree with you on this one I really like this mod but that one f*#@ing misname is an eyesore It's without a doubt malachite I have a large chunk of it myself and MALACHITE IS NOT OBSIDIAN!
I agree about the Obsidian singularity. You can just delete "ingotobsidian01.dds" in this mod to let the vanilla texture for this ingot only. Anyway, this is my favorite mod for the other metals.
get over it guys and just download another texture if it really means that much to you. It's a game ffs. You can't expect everything to look exactly like the real world.
I do have one question though: why is the manual download file for this mod 10 times larger than the NMM installer?
Great retexture. The complaints that I've read have been simply pointless, annoying and help no one. One comment about... "unprofessional"... regarding the file structure. These are mods created by people who felt inspired to make them in their own time, for free, for fun, and have allowed you to use them. Stop being annoying to those who are sharing their enjoyment with you. If you don't like it... leave.
Your tutorials helped me immensely, and they are extremely well made! I've followed every instruction and also read some S.T.E.P. tutorials such as skyrim.ini, skyrimprefs.ini, ENBoost guide and enblocal.ini guide. I'm currently modding my Skyrim since I'm planning to play it with about 200 mods, I'm almost in the middle. I use Mod Organizer of course and so far, so good. No conflicts or incompatibilities, no errors, no bugs, no frame drops, nothing! I still have to watch a couple of Gamer Poets videos though, the ones about Wrye Bash and the bashed patch and the merged patch.
Old but gold! Use this with Realistic HD Ingots and it will be a perfect combination. The other mod does not cover ores, that's why this one is necessary, but some of the ingots look better than these ones.
