These are some great looking 4K textures, and Ordenador is the answer to anyone feeling squeamish about great looking 4K textures.
Is 4K a problem for today's PC? No. Is 4K a problem for a 32-bit Bethesda game from 2011? A lot of people who have a 100% crash free and stable Skyrim will answer YES to that question.
It's not me demanding anything or acting like my connection is the issue, 362mb is generally too much mb for a mod on LE. Most peoples setups can't handle that or won't use that because of how absurdly high it is (that's more mb than most entire retexturing of all the cities in skyrim on 2k so far more than just a single NPC should ever have) so don't act like i'm demanding something and that I think the mod author owes me anything because I know they don't.
I know full well mod authors don't have to make mods they choose to do it, it was a suggestion so more people could actually use the mod.
To be honest, what Bersark93 wrote actually makes sense. Even if it's a retexture of alduin ONLY (no other dragons) with a 4K quality, it should not possible to reach the file size that big. Unless the one uploaded here is bigger than 4K, which is only useful for those playing with 2K monitor or bigger. Those who play with 1080p monitor won't get noticeable improvement using any textures higher than 4K (hell, even 4K is too excessive for that monitor size). What's favorable for them is a retex mod which retains a decent quality while being considerable in the size. Some experienced texture modders ever said that what's good is to make a retex mod with a same or even lower size than vanilla texture but with a sharper and better quality. Using the same analogy, if your purpose is to make a 2K or 4K quality textures, then it will be better if you can make 2K textures with the quality of 4K (i'm just pointing out their way of thinking, not my own thought since i myself also know very little about texturing).
Once again, as what Bersark93 wrote, i'm also not demanding anything, nor do i even try to impair the author's effort here. I just want to point out a fact based on comparison with other popular or mainstream retexture mods for Skyrim, and the author can take it as an input or positive criticism if he wants to. (for a reference, check retex mods made by CaBal, Gamwich, FrankFamily, Hein84, Pfuscher, ElSopa, etc any other mainstream texture modders)
I also apologize in advance if any of what i wrote above somehow displeases the author (it's 100% not my intention if it does)
Well, I'll try to resize, but unfortunately the resulting size is the use of more than 700,000 dragon scales, and it just signs on the resulting size, I'll try to adjust the default format and maybe get smaller. I take every criticism positively
I can't really say anything about this. All i know is that i run the textures in Ordenador (Optimizer Textures) and changed the format into DXT1 and DXT5 respectively. It reduces the size considerably but might reduce quality a bit. But using 4K textures should not be a problem since it's sharper than 2K textures (at least for me). Maybe it's difficult because there are many tiny art details (the "scales" you're talking about). Not sure though
I'll freely admit that a large amount of these retexture colorings are not to my taste (Dark Hell and Darker Black V2 would be my go to choices), but Mara Mother of Mercy the level of detail on every single one of 'em is nothing short of phenomenal. People should NOT sleep on your potential, and I look forward to seeing more of your work, and am very interested in how you'd alter the other dragons of the world. Well done.
Thank you for your support. I work on all the dragons npc but I would like everyone to be unique therefore it will take a while. I am just disappointed that the answer is not as great as I expected. However, every comment is very pleasant
Hey! Great mod. I have a request if that's okay. Would you be able to apply the gold version of Alduin to your other Paarthurnax mod? I think Paarthurnax would look great with the gold theme (:
after years finally that dude got a decent skin the most beautiful in the nexus so far ,thank you @DarkDukla Alduin is also called the black wings so i'll go for the v2 dark version
if there was more interest in this mod I would go into it. It is made yet Paarthurnax. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/741037 other dragons would come out of this retex

I tried to preserve the highest possible quality of textures, I would say for today pc it is no problem

nobody owes anyone anything. if you internet connection cant handle it, that isnt a problem someone on a mod hosting website can fix.
