as a university english major, i can say with great authority that english is...retarded. one of the most complex languages in the world, and there isn't a single "rule" that isn't broken multiple times throughout the whole thing. learning english is a beast undertaking, and so the critics might wanna rethink their insults unless they speak a foreign language or two themselves.

Hell japanese kids can't read a newspaper well in college since the language is complex. I'm from France and speak english, spanish and creole. So no, I'm sorry, but english isn't complex. Maybe some pronounciations are tricky, but that's it.
I just installed this mod on a brand new laptop, but once in the game (prisoner act where you get to change your appearance) it seems to give all kinds of errors. Does anyone else experience similar problems?

English is complex. But it's complex in the wrong way. We take words from other languages and cram them into our own and they all have different rules. What makes english so confusing is all of the exceptions to the "rules" out there. Other languages by comparison seem easy. Understand one and you start to recognize patterns and learning subsequent ones becomes easier. English is my first language but I can recognize the silliness. Plural of moose is moose, plural of goose is geese? House -> houses, mouse -> mice? Why? There's no one rule to go by, so you have to pick things up as you go along. Speaking and pronouncing are fine but it's the rules that make english difficult to learn. Don't get me started on spelling, homonyms and homophones.
@PopTartZombie & @bleachorange the more complicated characters you see in the screens are kanji, which is used in both Japanese and Chinese. I'm unsure about Taiwan. But since there are several katakana and hiragana characters in the screens, it's Japanese. Chinese doesn't use them.
