When i install this mod, most of the mods i already had installed were not applied to the game. i dont know how to explain it, but in Nexus Mod Manager i can see that they are installed correctly and applied to my game, but when i log in, they are not working. Why is this happening? Sorry for my poor english.
Hi! Absolutely love your mod! I use it all the time.
I have a request. I am not a modder so I don't know how it works. But could it be possible to add the option to start the game in the vanilla way? I roleplay my characters and having the option will make it a bit easier. It can be a pluggin like the extra spawn locations and points of interest. It would be useful so that i dont have to keepinstalling and uninstalling. Doing Helgen, saving, then install this mod didnt work out so well - i did try it just to be methodic and sure.
If it is possible to add helgen as a pluggin, I would absolutely love it! Otherwise your mod is amazing! Thank you for creating it!
It would be problematic due to the changes this mod makes to the main quest start and how it skips the first stages (which makes in much harder to do than it Live Another Life for example), so i don't think i will ever add it, sorry. This way asked so many times that i even added it to the FAQ
Installing the mod midgame is not supported and can cause issues with the affected quests.
How do I completely uninstall this mod? I want to do a new game using the Vanilla start, but when I turn this mod off and select New Game, the interface disappears and all I can see is the crest of the main menu. I am certain it's this mod causing it because turning it back on and starting a new game brings up a loading screen before the overview of the ruins of Helgen.
like any other mod, using your mod manager that you installed it with. disabling the .esp is neither uninstalling or fully disabling the mod, since there are other files
then uninstall it manually by removing all of the files that you installed manually from the Data folder. you can see all of the files and folders if you open the mod archive. it's just a matter of removing all of the files you installed, idk what's the problem. i recommend you use a mod manager (such as Mod Organizer 2) for installing mods, then uninstalling any mod will only require a few clicks. they also make it easier to manage which mod overwrites which if two or more mods replace same files, they allow you to install mods using their FOMOD installers and more
Hey, this mod is great, thank you for working on it. I have a few questions, the quest Dragon Rising is completed automatically, right? Many side quests require it as a prerequisite but I'm playing a non dragonborn with no shouts. I thought I read it was somewhere in your description when I downloaded it but I checked now and can't see any mentions of it being completed other than "The first few chapters of the main questline are bypassed - you no longer need to report about a dragon in Helgen to Jarl Balgruuf, obtain the Dragonstone for Farengar, defeat Mirmulnir, or even go to Helgen or Whiterun to start the main quest." I'm not sure if this means it's marked as completed or just means we don't have to.
Also, the description says we can do the Dragonborn DLC, even its main quest, without being a dragonborn. How does that work? Or am I reading that wrong?
Dragon Rising gets marked as completed when you absorb your first dragon soul and start the main quest. Though, the few vanilla quests that required it as a prerequisite are edited so they don't.
I meant that you can't do the Dragonborn DLC as a non-dragonborn. I'll change the wording to be more clear.
Hey. Does anybody know if it is possible to encounter dragons as a non-DB? Unfortunately, I haven't found the info in the description, but I think I just need to wait 7 days first.
yes, dragons are enabled for non-DB too, unless you disable them in the MCM. with the default MCM settings dragons at world walls appear at from 7-21 days (all at once) after the game start and random dragon encounters appear at another 7-21 days after that.
if you mean Legacy of Dragonborn, then probably yes if you don't play as non-dragonborn. though idk, it's a really big mod and i'm not familiar with it
I believe you CAN play the mod without starting the main questline, though npcs will still refer to you as the dragonborn after a certain point. The MO recommended you start the main questline early to avoid story inconsistencies.

edit: my mistake, didn't update to newest version.
