One of my favorite little magic mods, honestly. The default wolf familiar isn't bad, but sometimes you just need a great snarling tiger-beast racing through the dungeon to rip a few Draugr a new one.
I also like how it stays relevant by leveling with the player. One of the things that always annoyed me with the Summons is that Familiars, Atronachs, and Zombies all end up being weak by the time you're level 40. Zombies also annoy the crap out of me. Atronachs and Familiars end up going from "decent damage dealer" to "woefully inadequate distraction" in the span of only a handful of levels. I get it, conjured familiars are supposed to be 'low level trash,' but to have it be useless by level 10 is horrible. At that point, every bandit one-shots the default familiar.
This one, not so much. Bandits can kill it, but they take heavy losses in the process.
Does this have any effect on the Flaming Familiar spell or is it just the standard ones? Just wondering if it'll break something if I have this & More Exploding Familiars at the same time.
Khajiit says: a sore need, now resolved. A familiar who's feline, not canine. For a Khajiiti pet should be a familiar form, no?Khajiit thanks pltomek3. It feels comfortable and familiar now, Skyrim does.
I made a weaker version as per request, Familiar is 70% of earlier size(should fit in hallways) and it's damage was decreased. It will have about 85(from 105) damage at lvl 76+. I will also upload version with 70 damage(to match my Vampire Lord unarmed damage).
Thanks! I tested new animals. Reduced looks cute. :) Stripping the location, it is enough to call the beast twice. And then he will do everything himself. Killing enemies in batches and calmly, walking around, killing the location boss. I thought what needs to be changed. And it seems understood. Beast do damage. But then he will do everything himself. Try to make a tank. High standard of living, but relatively small damage. Assistant hero, not an atomic torpedo.
Аpproximate characteristics of the tank by levels:
To level 10: life 150, damage 7 To level 20: life 300, damage 14 To level 30: life 450, damage 21 To level 40: life 600, damage 28 ... Life +150 , damage +7
And so on - A lot of life and its great growth, small damage moderately growing. Then the beast will become an assistant in battle. But the player will fight on his own.
28 damage is essentialy scratching enemies,. Even vanilla Saber Cat has 35 damage. It would be useless in battle, taking place of more useful atronachs or other summons. Also I can't reduce it to this dagree as I would have to edit the race, which would cause all Saber Cats to be this weak.
And it's so strong only at lvl 76+ where enemies are themselves strong and with high hp. At 1st level, it's barely better than normal Saber Cat..
At most I can give you useless vanilla Saber Cat with 35 damage.
Keep in mind it's progression is already 5 dmg per 15 levels. Lower than you want.
Thanks. specify how she has with the number of life points. I’ll test it - I’ll start the game and go further away and write how the game is going. In any case, thank you for the great mod and how you respond to the player’s requests.
The last weakest option is what you need. Helps in battle, but does not fight in your place. A small proud and graceful partner. Able to support in battle, distract the enemy, but not fighting for you. Thanks again.
Very good job, thanks. If there is no spell in Riverwood, buy from the mage of Whiterun.
Big request - make damage 40% weaker, and if you can, beast size is 40% smaller.
Size is optional, but damage must be reduced. The beast kills everyone super lightly. The game becomes not interesting. He should be an assistant, not someone who does everything for you.
1st, kinda wish that the spell in general grew stronger the stronger you get (thanks Bethesda for not doing this)
2nd, i think it would be a nice idea to be be able gather parts from different animals and then be able to change that familiar with a menu or atleast a new spell letting you summon that familiar

The ultimate force - is what it is.
Strong - 20% weaker damage.
Normal - 40% weaker damage.
Small - 60% weaker damage.
Or something like that - and each player will choose his own option.
You have a very beautiful mod. But playability requires a variety of choices.
