I'll do that, thanks. Just learning the ropes so the easier it is the better. I have yet to even open the CK.

Perhaps I can do the HF books and contribute them to your unfinished update, once I figure out what I am doing.

For something like this I would recommend using TES5edit instead of the CK. This is a simple renaming of some records, so you don't need the full capabilities of the CK. It is easier to avoid dirty edits and the simpler interface makes it clearer, to my mind, exactly what you are editing. Try loading the mod in its current form in TES5edit and you'll see what I mean.

Was a joke I am working on learning how to mod for Skyrim. Sorry if it came off badly.

You did not, so no apology necessary. Likewise I did not mean to imply that I was offended. I was earnestly suggesting the best way to make it happen quickly, because I have no idea when I will get around to it. Updating an outdated mod is a great way to become familiar with the concepts at work, and I always encourage it.

Now that Beth has confirmed there will be no more Skyrim DLCs, can we see an update to include all books, journals and notes in the game? Or do I have to get off my butt and do one myself?

You do not have to do anything, ever. You may choose to do any thing that you like.

If your question were "do I have to get off my ass and do one myself if I am not willing to wait for you to do it" then the answer would be an easy "yes".

That said, I have already made the file (excluding hearthfire which I have not yet purchased) but have not yet uploaded it, because I am at least as lazy as you are.

As a book collector, this was a great add. All of the "The"s were driving me crazy! Thanks. Endorsed.

The mod title, "Book Sorting" should be taken literally, in that it only affects books. I made this with organizing a library of functioning bookshelves in mind so paper notes are excluded. If you want an easy way to sort paper notes from everything else I recommend using the sort-by-weight column in SkyUI.

While it did add an asterisk to the "Red Eagle's Rite", there's a bunch of notes/letters in my inventory that have not been "asterisked": Alethius' Notes, Fear Poison Recipe, Mysterious Note, Treasure Map, Writ of Sealing... I was under the impression that the mod would put an asterisk on anything that isn't a book, but apparently it only puts asterisks on journals and diaries. Well, my suggestion is therefore this: make a version that anything that is not a book or spell tome, has an asterisk, therefore including letters and notes as well as journals and diaries.

@Tokeroaches: Gonna have to start tracking your mods, first the library now I'm here lol.

As someone that doesn't use Better Sorting this mod will work out perfectly for me. I'm definitely more interested in the * added to journals and crap notes. Always find them taking up a whole spot in a bookshelf, OCD kicking in and having to reorganize everything alphabetically again. Stupid journals and notes... heh.
