Is it normal that the position settings don't seem to do anything? I'm trying to make it so that the light comes from all directions (so I can see my character from behind as well), but the light only seems to light the front of the character.
You need NetImmerse\RaceMenu for positioning. And depending on the settings of the light source, it may seem that changing the position does not change anything (too diffused light with a large radius, for example). Other than that, I can't guess anything.
Hey quick question? Is it possible to change the Hotkey to something else than activate key? Idk why but when i'm trying to take a screenshots with certain poses while using TFC the E button locks all camera movement.
Thank you for the awesome mod also really helps with Screenshots. :P
No. Not possible. At least for me. I don't play Skyrim anymore, and I don't develop my mods. And I'm not sure why your camera can be locked when you press E. This has never happened to me.
From the point of view of game logic, you should be holding the "Use" button, not "E". The script uses this particular game function, and not any specific button. The "E" button is simply assigned to it by default. I decided that this activation mechanism from Quick Light was the most convenient, so I chose it.
Brilliant mod. Use to compliment other lighting mods, letting you control what parts of the character model are lit up. Even making mini adjustments makes a difference.
Not much can be customized as environmental light. Place it even slightly off the Z axis, lights will flicker massively any time you turn around due to the light source teleporting to the opposite position. Place it on any side of your body, the opposite parts will be in glaring silhouette. Place it inside your body, your body will be all dark, environments bright. There's a reason when environmental light mods use your face as a light position. Though, shades make for good screenshots.
Option to add two independent lights would be really nice. Maybe a lumosity slider with the color picker?
Skyrim can't handle a lot of light sources. If we add another one, the flicker will only get worse. So I settled on one. As for the color picker scheme, this is the best I could implement. I'm not a scripting professional, just an amateur.
Papyrus extender is in the required mods. All of them are listed on the main page and on the download page, too (before you start the download). If you have not read the requirements - this is not my fault =)
As a suggestion, I think I order to bring the mod to the next level you could add full hotkey support for all parameters of the light. Mostly the position, the strength and the radius of the light. While doing screenshooting you want to try out different light positions, strength etc. quickly and make fine adjustments and going in a menu and changing it by hand works, but is very tiresome. With hotkeys you could see the result in real time on your character. Nonethless great job! I think adding full hotkey support could elevate this mod to become the default lightning mod for serious screenshoting!
Adding hotkeys is only possible for changing position. Since a change in the light radius, fade or color requires turning off the light and re-enabling it after changing parameters. We cannot modify active light sources.
hello Azazellz! I've been using your Custom Light mode seamlessly with Facelight for the last few weeks. I have also installed Papyrus Extender v1.6.1, there is no problem.
The mod makes life so much easier when taking screenshots. It helps me to adjust the light in any environment I wish. Thank you very much for developing such a tool and sharing it with us

Player only.

Would it be possible to have a turn off turn on switch as a hotkey also ?

You should highlight somewhere in description that color settings won't work without papyrus extender. Took me a while to figure that out.
