Mines made from oak and a HUGE piece of amber LOL love this mod cause of coarse i,m Irish LOL Though it looks like from the pics you had a two handed version but there was only the 1 handed, still cool. If and when u make the two handed version i,ll download that to TY :)
A shillelagh or Bata is actually a wooden club or as some Irish like to say 'It's only a Walking Stick'. Traditionally made in the 19th century from Blackthorn, with a large root bulb at the end. My flat mate (who is Irish) says there are particular ways of seasoning the wood from being buried in a dung heap for several months, soaked in saltwater, steeped in a barrel of whiskey (was that to season the wood or enhance the flavor of the whiskey?) or covered in butter and shoved up the chimney. Very, very rarely the end was hollowed out and filled with lead, that's the closest you'll have with one made from metal. It's also considered as a badge of honor.
