Hello These are really nice, as a replacer, I'm also using the chesko lantern as well and is working just fine, .. I've uploaded some images of wearing chesko's lantern with this mod, along with images of mod in Realm of Lorkhan alt start mod, lucan's store selling ( but as statics) in gerheardts city of riverwood .... Thank You Endorsed, Tracking , Kudo'd ...
They actually have tiny feet. Bethesda didn't put every lantern everywhere directly on the ground/table, so depending on where you are, you may find some floating. It's just not as noticeable with Bethesda's footless mesh as it is with this one, but it's a vanilla Skyrim problem.
Yep that’s true. And if you don’t put it static (so nothing can move it) it will jump/fly away if you try to put some objects directly on another object. Very strange seems like Bethesda was a „a bit“ lazy and not only didn’t put some things directly and immersive everywhere but also made some hitboxes bigger than they should be
Ok, try the new compatibility version. Lanterns will use the new fittings but not the stained glass. If there's enough demand for it, I'll try to finagle a proper mesh replacer as well, but for now I have this quick fix.
Ok! Two requests is good enough for me. I have a few more mods on my to-do list, and Usable Lantern is open permission, so when I've released some of the other things on my list I'll make a proper replacer for that too.
From the Blowing in the Wind mod page: "Mods that replace the vanilla lantern meshes won't conflict since this mod uses unique filenames and records."
Is the problem that Blowing in the Wind replaces the lantern with a new animated mesh so one gets overwritten? If so, I can't patch that. I don't know how to animate nifs. I can try to contact the author and see if they wouldn't mind making a patch, but that's the most I can promise.
What "Mods that replace the vanilla lantern meshes won't conflict since this mod uses unique filenames and records." means is that the other mod points away to its own assets instead of pointing to vanilla ones.
Oh ok. That makes sense! I sent the author of Blowing in the Wind a PM seeking some help, so we'll see what happens. No promises though. I'm not an animator by any stretch of the imagination.
Very Nice Job,long time waiting for it,after a couple of CTDs and clean up with SaveGame, it works perfect with my version Lanterns of Skyrim - Around Cities - 2_0, although I would prefer a less elegant and larger version, but this is much better than what we had originally,Thanks for this!
