The LE version of iEquip is no longer supported and will not be receiving any further updates. All future development and updates will now be focused solely on iEquip SE. If you wish to continue to use iEquip LE please feel free to do so, but be aware that the unique identifier system which iEquipUtil uses to target and manage weapons and armour causes certain scripted items to break irrepairably. There is no workaround for this, so either don't use iEquip or don't use those items (see Haz's post stickied below for more info). The next big update for iEquip SE addresses this and many other issues, as well as adding a host of new features and expanding existing ones, so we strongly suggest switching to SE if you haven't already done so (not just for iEquip, but for a much more stable modding experience in general).

Comments are now locked. If you require support for anything other than the aforementioned issue please hop in to our Discord and we'll help out there if we can.

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

13/3/20 - Frustrating as I appreciate the waiting is, it is at least giving me time to add a whole load of new cool stuff including new layout presets, radial enchantment meters, more options in QuickShield, countless new fixes and tweaks to many other features. There are demo videos of some of the new stuff over on my YouTube channel, and screenshots of some of the presets can be found over on the iEquip Discord.

14/2/20 - Still waiting for a fix for the SE dll, sorry guys. In future I'll not be posting any teasers or projected release dates to avoid the abuse!

5/2/20 (or 2/5/20) - Taking the opportunity to completely overhaul the MCM before release, grouping settings together in a more logical fashion. Unfortunately this will mean MCM profiles saved prior to 1.2 won't be usable, however if you are updating to 1.2 on an existing save you can simply load in and make a new profile save, you won't lose any of your existing settings. Unavoidable I'm afraid.

3/2/20 (or 2/3/20 for the Americans) - Wow, 1.2 has taken longer than anticipated! The LE version is pretty much ready to go, just got to update the SE scripts, get the changelog ready and record and update video. There's a lot more gone into it or been updated/tweaked/fixed than I was planning on, hence the delay. Both versions should be ready before the end of the week. Sorry for the wait!

22/1/20 - iEquip v1.2 is about to go into testing. iEquipUtil has been updated for Skyrim SE 1.5.97.I've finished adding the Auto-Equipping functions, and QuickRanged has had a major overhaul including adding ranged spells and staffs. Most of the known bugs have been addressed including several issues with the torch meter and timer, Utility Menu, and so on. Support for Sand's Torch from LotD has been added as well as a tweak to the Everlight detection. Slow Time when cycling will now apply to all slots. And a ton of other tweaks, fixes and optimisations (no, none of it will affect cycling speed so don't ask!). Assuming testing doesn't throw up anything horrendous we should be on for a release before the end of January (but which January... ;) )

iEquip 1.1 has been released with big updates to the Queue Management Menus, a host of new and updated features, and a ton of tweaks and fixes.

There are settings in the MCM for a couple of WIP features which for now will do nothing - on the UI page the Shout Meter setting is just a placeholder, and in the QuickRanged weapon choice menu the Ranged Spell and Ranged Staff options are placeholders, Both features will be coming in 1.2 as soon as they are ready.

Check the Changelog for full details.

Users should be aware that LE version of iEquip (as of v1.1.1) has a well-known game-breaking bug, whereby scripted items stop functioning properly. Some examples include Smart Cast rings, Mace of Molag Bal, Aetherial Shield, Ring of Namira, Wuuthrad, Campfire's backpack + amulet combos, and other vanilla and non-vanilla items. From testing I've found that the bug affects equippable items that carry scripts with an "OnEquipped" event.

Most of the time you may not even realize that an item is malfunctioning until it's too late. Disabling the mod in the MCM does NOT usually help once an item is already borked. Only reloading a save from before iEquip was first activated in the MCM seems to solve the issue (which is usually at the beginning of the game).
Note: this is not the same bug as the one that prevents you from applying poisons to your bow, although the DLL seems to be responsible for both.
Dunc has stated that the LE version of the DLL is not supported anymore, which means that these bugs will likely remain in the LE release.

Use the mod at your own risk.

A few little nuggets to bear in mind while using iEquip, and before reporting any issues:

Trying to cycle too rapidly (ie faster than the widget animations can keep up with), or beginning to cycle again before a previous equip cycle has completed, can occasionally cause the widget to display the wrong thing or nothing at all. Usually cycling that slot using the hotkeys will refresh it. Failing that a save/reload should resolve any other issues. If neither of those courses of action resolve it then by all means report it.

iEquip keeps track of everything in all of your queues and monitors for those items leaving your inventory. In that event the items are cached, and if later added back into your inventory are automagically re-added to the queues they were previously in. This is fine in normal gameplay, however getting thrown in jail, or using Store All/Take All containers, particularly if you have a large number of items in your inventory and assigned to your queues, can cause a bit of 'overflow' in iEquip and you can end up with some items remaining in your queues after they have left your inventory. If this happens then you will need to use the Queue Management menus to clean up your queues.

iEquip does a LOT behind the scenes every time you cycle or equip. If you are someone used to playing with a keyboard rammed with hotkeys and switching at insane speed between items, you may need to tone it down a little! We have optimized things a huge amount over the past few months, but there is still only so much it can do in such a short space of time.

You can equip items in any way you like, by cycling the iEquip queues, by using other hotkey mods, SkyUI Favourites Group Sets, through the menus, etc and iEquip should keep up with you and show the correct thing in the widget (if you have the Auto Add options turned on).

I just wanted to bop in and thank you for this magnificent mod. I know you've probably heard it a lot, but I feel that an additional thank you can't be a bad thing. It's obvious you have put a great deal of thought, time, and effort into it, and it truly has significantly improved my gameplay experience. Yes, there is a good bit to read when first learning how to use the mod, but I'm actually glad of that - everything is clearly and completely explained without being overly verbose. Once I got the hang of iEquip, which took very little time - it's super intuitive - I was having a blast. It's both wonderful and realistic to be able to switch between sword and bow at need when a dang dragon keeps landing and flying off ad nauseum. In the base game, I have to open either my favorites menu or the inventory and manually click on my bow and then the arrows I want to use - with iEquip, I just triple tap my right hand equip key and BAM - I draw my bow. That's just one example of how this mod really adds to immersion and streamlines gameplay. I love the preselect mode as well - it's infinitely useful, and allows me to engage one enemy one way, then switch tactics for a different enemy with ease. The fact that I can either enable or disable auto-add to queues is a great feature as well - I like to test new spells when I get them, and I'll get a whole bunch at once, and I don't want them all added to my queue, so I just disable auto-add during that, then I can simply re-enable it afterwards - no fuss, no muss, everything works beautifully and I'm a happy player. The quick dual cast feature is an absolute necessity for my mage character as well.

In summary, this mod is one of my essentials now - it adds to immersion, streamlines gameplay, is beautiful in both its abilities and simplicity, and insanely customizable. Thank you so much for creating this magnificent mod and sharing it with the community. Kudos to everyone who has worked on it, is working on it, and/or will work on it. Well done!

Thank you for taking the time to craft such a lovely comment. As with any endeavour in life the voices of complaint usually shout louder than those of praise and it's easy to become disheartened. Hearing positive comments and reviews every now and again helps us to remember why we put in the time and effort, and gives us reason to continue.

I hope iEquip serves you well on your travels.

I know I'm going to sound egoistic, I know some might think I'm rude, but this is just a question, nothing more:
What happened to this mod? This mod had such potential, it's one of a kind. It's amazing really!
..But it has bugs, several bugs that seriously needs to be fixed. I hate saying it, but it's the damn truth.
Which means we are waiting, hoping, borderline praying for the mod author(s) to come back.
Why hasn't he/they? Is the mod abandoned?? I've heard disturbing rumors, but I refuse to buy into anything
unless the mod author(s) himself/themselves comes out and states that this mod is dead because of reason x,y and z.

The authors have made it clear that the LE version will no longer be supported. Or to be more precise, the DLL is no longer supported, and that's the root cause for all the major bugs. SE version is fixed afaik.

hazardass not even sure where they made that clear when they sure haven't done it here. Or if they have then it's not on the description page or the sticky above which ironically still promises a 1.2 update for LE that never came. So at best your singular comment is for anyone new discovering this mod for the first time can avoid it before they screw up their game. So in that case thanks. Already had a bad time with Souls Quick Menu...it seems that mods like this are just proof of concepts and lead to more bad than good in the long run

Well actually Souls Quick Menu isn't that bad....when it works. It just tends to bug out sometimes for absolutely no reason

Yea so there is more info on the iEquip discord, which is where bugs usually get reported, more so than here.
And yes I agree that the bug is serious enough that it should be at least mentioned somewhere on the mod page or pinned here in the comments section, especially if there are no current plans to support the mod or fix the bug. I've suggested that to Dunc.

This is a great mod. Which makes it hard for me to disable it from my setup. On paper, this mod is everything you need it to be and I applaud the author because it's clear a lot of work and dedication went into this. I'll list a few reasons why I'm not going to use this mod at this time. For reference, I'm running the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod setup by Lexy/Darth Mathias and I've got it running smoothly despite the hundreds of mods it calls for.

    1. The biggest thing for me is the cycling is just too slow for me. I've shortened the delay timers all the way and I still find myself waiting up to 3 seconds to switch gear, even just switching to the very next item. While I've seen some other comments with the same issue, its possible I'm just running too many mods for this to be as quick as needed. I tinkered with all the settings and couldn't get it to my liking.

    2. When customizing the widgets in the editor mode I find it doesn't always save my settings. For example, I will dim the background of the widget to ~50% and next thing I know the opacity is at 100%. This is such a minor inconvenience I almost didn't list it but thought the author would appreciate the feedback.

    3. It is a bit buggy. The sticky posts cover the main things here which are items losing their REF id and cycling to fast. I admit I try to cycle too fast but sometimes the situation calls for it. This ties in to number 1 above but sometimes if you cycle to fast the cycler will no longer work. You will keep pressing the button and nothing will happen. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

    Now for the positives:

    4. The author has thought of everything. I'm not sure I've seen more care put into a mod. Every single piece of this mod you can customize, which is incredible considering how much it does and how many little tweaks there are. I never found myself saying "I wish I could do this or change that" because you can do that and customize everything however you want.

    5. The potion feature is really good, worked flawlessly. Very convenient and maybe the part of the mod I'll miss the most. The quick range feature is also really good. Any archer would appreciate this. In general, all the advanced features are great.

Lastly, I'd like to make a suggestion that would get me to instantly re-download this mod. I'm expecting nothing because its light-years above my modding ability and I'm sure it would take too much time for the author. But if I could suggest a Lite version: iEquip Lite. A bare bones iEquip with the widgets and cycler functionality only. No double press, triple press, or hold button options. No timer delays or advanced features. 1 button press = 1 cycle and that's it. Keep the widgets and their customization on the hud because it looks awesome and keep the potion feature. It would basically be the Equipment HUD mod from Snotgurg with the widgets and potions from this mod. Again, not expecting it, but thought I'd throw it out there.

    Cheers

You can try https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72238 Souls equip. its more responsive but it wont queue potion types like iEquip and it barrages you with messages when you run out of a type. I would like a lite version of iEquip as well for that reason alone, 1 click 1 equip.

Count me as one of them FWIW. I've been using the Souls one mentioned earlier, It;s still rough around the edges in areas and I have been contemplating switching to this, though it seems that this has its own quirks and more importantly, development on the LE version AFAIK is over. Perhaps though the author(s) could see their way to releasing a stripped-down version as described as a option - at least for LE folks.

First of all, this mod is incredible and I recognize how much effort it must have been to make. Menu shittery is one of the primary fun-killers in Skyrim, and this mod more than any other seems to be the solution to it. Thank you for investing so much time and effort into it, and also it looks gorgeous. Now, on to my questions.

Is there a way to assign the hotkeys for iEquip to numbers instead of the default letter keys WITHOUT conflicting with vanilla Skyrim's hotkeys? I would much rather my 1-8 be used for iEquip than for Skyrim's vanilla favorites keybinds, but there doesn't seem to be a way to change that, so iEquip will always conflict with vanilla when binding hotkeys to 1-8. For clarity, I want to use 2, 4, 6, and 8 instead of Y, G, H, and B for the iEquip hotkeys without Skyrim assigning items to those hotkeys like it normally does.

iEquip also seems to randomly go invisible and permanently stay invisible, which is driving me nuts. It seems like it or Immersive Hud aren't playing nice together, but I can't pin down why.

EDIT: Nevermind, you can just remove items from the 'favorites' list and assign them to iEquip directly from the inventory to get around this problem.

Sorry when I am just inept, but the sheer volume of information is too much and I feel the documentation of this mod could be improved. Its very confusing.

    I wanted to ask:

    - How can I make the PC drink a stamina potion? I have stamina potion in the potion queue but it never is used with smart select, even when I have 0 stamina and max health.

    - Smart Select is not working reliably. Even when both health and stamina is 100% I can still drink potions.
    - it does not always select the strongest potion
    - it never selects stamian potion

I fail to understand how I can add hotkeys to single items too? :)

Sorry if I just dont understand :(

Drinking potions is also sometimes delayed even when with high FPS out of combat.

The MCM is very complex and impossible to understand for me. I have no idea what changes what and how I can easily set up my potions for easy and fast use.

I tried to remove posion queue or add stamian potions to that queue but no way. I tried to make a queue for health and one for stamina but there seems no way.
I tried to disable the queues I dont need (weapons I handle with SkyUI) but no use?
Maybe I just completly fail to understand what I can and cannot do with this mod hehe

Did you see the stuff in the Articles tab? This mod already has way more documentation that most. It's just not all in the main mod page or in a readme.txt file.
