13,500 Gold for a Blizzard spell book. Now thats a spicy meatball...
I went the other route, to prevent me becoming a millionaire by level 20. I use the Trade and Barter mod, with the sell prices at rock bottom. I get about 3p for a full suit of Daedric Armour. With my game...
I only pick up gold, and items that I can disenchant. I like the idea of your mod, I would like to start my game with no spells, and everything to become a Mage. Becoming truly tough to get.
Not everyone can cast a master spell; only the most accomplished mages can. Think about it like buying or selling a really expensive sports car: not everyone can afford them, but those who can have to pay an assload of money. ;) Also, with the intended usage of this mod (being used in tandem with Spell Research and No Spell Tomes as Loot or from Vendors), it is even harder to acquire one of those tomes because they are extremely difficult to make. If you think that Blizzard is a spicy meatball, then wait until you see the prices of the spells that can only be found in Apocrypha or the Soul Cairn (those are not affected by the No Spell Tomes mod)... If Blizzard is a spicy meatball, then those are the Flying Spaghetti Monster!
Yeah... I like making Skyrim tougher, I have modded my game to make it a living Hell...
I'm always working on new ways to add difficulty, without bullet sponging.
I've broken my game, soo many times with over modding. But I just start again, as its a lot of fun...
I wish there was a true Survival Mode, in Skyrim. Not including the Creation Kit one, that does not work with my mods, and should have just been put into the main game. Like they did with Fallout 4.
I agree with you so much. I hate playing any difficulty above expert because the enemies do feel too bullet-spongey, so I rely on other mods to increase the challenge, and I used to break my game so many times due to the excess of mods! Ever since I upgraded my PC and moved to Special Edition, however, I've rarely had any problems with that anymore. I have 189 *active* mods, and I crash maybe once every few hours or so. SSE is just more stable, I guess.
My games never crash, as I am always aware of how much RAM my mods are using, along with making sure I don't get script overlap, or reach my script limit. But I have test games. Where I test out new mods, to see if they are worth using in my main build. The last ones I tested, broke my game completely after 20 hours. Having scripts, over scripts, over scripts running. It was a ton of fun, but intentional game destruction.
I am always looking for the perfect game setup, I found it in Fallout 4. I am very close in Skyrim to finding it, I am still looking for the perfect setup.
I play the game for fun, not to finish it. I keep finding new stuff, hidden away stories littered around the landscape. Such as the family, who lost their cart down a hill. Followed it down, to be eaten by a family of Sabrecats. I found a magic book there and a lot of bloody bones, but its something that people who don't fast travel, tend to find.
173 mods, 149 plugins... zero crashes on Old Skyrim. ( Mod Organizer 2 is a God-Send for stabilising games. )
I'm currently modding Deviously Cursed Loot for myself, swapping the mods rubber outfits. I've been using it for years, and the Rubber Outfits never fitted properly for some reason. On any skeleton, or body I use. Bones jutting out of the chest area, on low weights.
Modding my game to be even more tough at the minute, no bullet sponging as usual. Just Master difficulty, and Trade and Barter set to no money. Items being worthless, certainly alters your play style. Added Debuffs for all the nasty things that happen, when playing Skyrim. That are not usually there. Mental trauma, addiction, spur of the moment, anti-social behaviour because of her mental states.
Yes, feel free to ask someone to do that because I do not have the patience to cover mods of those size. ;) By the way, if someone does cover one of those mods, please leave a link for me, so I could download the Apocalypse one for myself.
I realize some people might think this mod is needless, or the prices are too steep, not for me! I have many have mods that buff magic, and allow more summons etc, especially with multiple summons this makes the game way too easy, not to mention the absurd amount of gold laying around in game, one thing I did was change the prices of all the spell tombs, including spell from all my spell mods, I find it a much better game this way!
Anyhoo, I think this mod is a great idea! Especially for the reasons I stated. Thank you ^__^
Thank you for the feedback, and I agree 100%, although my main reason was basic supply and demand and a dash of real-life college inspiration with the combination of mods I built this mod for. ;)

Tons more monsters than the base game.
It's a nightmare, and I'm loving it...
