This mod works for SE. I have been using it for awhile now. The only thing that occurs is an error message when opening the map but that happens only once when you load a game.
It's nice to have alternatives. Thanks! I feel a bit conflicted about this one. The explored part of the map looks good and is easier to read than the vanilla default map, which is great. But the bright yellow background is hurting the eyes a bit. If anything, the flat-colored background should probably be more subdued than the map itself, so a darker value of the same color maybe.
Unfortunately the way the map background and ink layers work makes it difficult to do this. The ground gets slightly shaded in when revealed and becomes hard to read if the background is already subdued. I balanced this pretty hard in favor of it looking good when filled in, but I could take another crack at a more balanced option. I can't promise anything though.
Great mod, local map is a lot easier to read like that ! I use it with Skyrim SE. I just have a warning when I first open a map saying I have the wrong version of SkyUI, but It seems to work well.
This is great, thank you for sharing! It appears to work perfectly with the excellent "Pastel Map Markers" mod, so that could be an option for those using other map marker replacers that might not be compatible with your mod per your description page. Thanks again!

You should consider to port your mod to SSE.
Thanks for your work.
I can confirm it works well with SSE, except a warning (at least no crash for me until now...).
Any chance for a little darker version? Or maybe textured one? (If it's possible)
