The idea is really brilliant, and much more realistic, but I have some questions:
1) All the original perks have their corresponding book ever implemented? 2) There are books for the perks regarding skill trees of DLC's (Dawnguard)? 3) Works with mod's that change the skill trees (but keep the original perks)? 4) Only works on brand-new characters?
Although it is a very good idea, unfortunately it seems that this mod was abandoned. If this is the case, someone with more experience could take on the task?
Thanks, and sorry about the mistakes (the english is not my native language).
I'm really excited about this mod! I was getting bored with skyrim until i saw this new and fresh way to earn points! But i'm having some issues and i really need some guidance.
I'm not sure if i'm doing the "set perk gain to zero" thing correctly. I downloaded Elys Uncapper, I went to the Perk Gain section and set it to 2=0, but alas, nothing changes. I'm still gaining perk points when I level up, and i have yet to find one perk book. :-/
How can i know that the mod is even "activated"? and also, Does it matter that it's not a brand-new character?
This deserves a lot more attention and love; I think the idea is brilliant. It certainly makes more sense than immediately knowing how to do something new instantaneously, especially in the middle of combat.
It looks like a SkyRE patch has been made at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25686, which you may have already known.
I'm interested in making patches for the perks in throwable weapons and survivalist ingenuity. Do you have a tutorial on how to make and place the perk books? I've been doing alot of work with Lorecraft for my personal mod list, so I guess something like the guide that is included there is what I am thinking of. I'll try and figure it out by looking at your stuff in the creation kit, but am still a noobie at modding.
I don't know if you still monitor these comments, so will check back for a week or so, and then PM you if it is OK.
@akfear - Thanks! I don't have any compatibility patches, but I suspect I'll wait for a final version of SkyRE. I do use that awesome mod myself, but until the perks become fixed at least to some degree I don't really plan re-script my whole mod. Or at least until I can optimize how my script handles data... :S

My understanding is that they have been added to leveled lists and also have some placed in specific locations in the world.
