Hello, sorry to bother you. May we please have the optional files on SSE version too? I'm not experienced with converting mods and am afraid I'll mess something up. Also I read that some LE texture mods might not look right in SSE if I don't correctly convert them.
Can we have an optional file that changes the Konahrik hood colors to something that blends better with dragonplate armor, like the vanilla hood did? Konahrik with dragonplate armor is a popular combination.
By the way these are the best dragon priest masks in skyrim modding, you have done a perfect job making the most powerful items in the game look the part. Thank you for making this mod!
Thank you for the kind words :) I had originally intended Konahrik to match Miraak's visuals, but I can add an optional file that brings back a vanilla-style black/yellow hood.
I'm pretty sure the vanilla hood was dark brown (same color as your Vokun hood) with gold designs (same color as your Konahrik mask). Your hood doesn't have to match vanilla, I was just using the vanilla hood as an example of colors that go well with dragonplate armor and your Konahrik mask. It is your mod though, so of course go with whatever you think works best with those two things.
Thanks again for being willing to do this, that is very generous of you.
The black/yellow color scheme turned out surprisingly good and i think i actually prefer it over the main one, haha. It's looking a little simpler but i think it fits heavily armored characters better that way than the ornate blue hood would.
I've combined this mod with your earlier one so I can get the eye slits without using ICH, as I didn't want to use ICH on my newest re-install due to issues if it's removed. As in the past I always had bugs afterwards with ebony and dwarven helmets being invisible. For first time in like 6 years of playing Skyrim, your mods make me want to use the Dragon Priest masks, and I actually want to hunt them all down now :)
Couple of questions if you got time:
1. How to get the gold retexture of Konahrik mask that is pictured on your other mod page(3rd picture)? That retexture looks sexy as hell but I cant find it anywhere when installing these mods?
2. Just below I saw you post a link to the 'Improved Dragon Priest Masks and your Oldrim link(thank you) - Will installing that mod effect your 2 mods in anyway or do they work together?
Once again thank you for the amazing mods and your time.
I'm glad you like the mod and thank you for the kind words <3 About your questions: 1. The Konahrik retexture is an unintended combination of Apophysis and DPMI. I was testing the installer at the time and had both mods installed simultaneously. DPMI, for some reason, does not come with a normalmap for Konahrik so it was the one from Apophysis showing through. I do agree it does look pretty cool though, which is why I didn't even notice it until someone pointed it out.
2. Depending on how comfortable you are using xEdit, a patch between the two mods would be pretty simple. I'd recommend loading my mod first and Improved Dragon Priest Masks second. Then you'd just need to forward the armature records from mine.
Managed to get the retexture to work like you described, and it looks amazing. Really weird how that DPMI had no normal map and it worked out to this combination :)
I'm no expert with xEdit, but tried to get it to work like you said but no luck. I checked all the 'Armature' lines and interestingly there was no conflicts on those lines but I still forwarded your settings on but it didn't work. Tried to play around with the load order but still no luck. I'm not a modder but find it strange that they wont play nice with each other, as from my point of view the ' Improved Dragon Priest Mask' mod is just a esp and not making mesh changes.
Is there a way to convert the masks to cloth category? I'm actually playing a mage playthrough and the masks turn off some buffs from ordinator perks, I loved the masks and I don't want to remove the mod. I tried the mod "Cloth Mage-Focused Dragon Priests Masks" but I only got a invisible head. Pls, I love the mod
I'm assuming that you installed the version the mod that is making masks wearable with hoods. This is likely conflicting with changes that USLEEP is making to the mask meshes that I carried over to my own. Try the version that is not making changes to the armor slots and it should work.
On a sidenote, Improved Dragon Priest Masks SE is a lovely mod, that also enables mage-armor perks on Nahkriin, Morokei and the DLC masks. If you feel like trying it, I have a personal Legendary Edition port of it here.
Hey so I reckon you can't mod the mask's texture to be smaller on the forehead when it's equped with hoods? I wanted to wear the DP mask with a mage hood, but the clipping is too large, it's even clips with the dragon priest hood. Or should I contact the ICH guys with this?

You were right, the vanilla hood is black and yellow, like how you made it. The hood I was imagining doesn't even exist lol.
