Latest Version 3.4 (Please check the "Changelog" and "Articles" section for a full description of what's been added)
- I decided to implement the idea that if you die you return to revive in Coldharbour, (As suggested by Esotek) the effect is already working flawlessly in game but I want to take some time to make sure it won't cause issues with the "Avoid Death" perk. or force the game to check every frame for your health or death status.
If/Once is perfected I'll upload it as an optional file.
Hey I just need to know how to obtain the scroll or book so that I can get to the mansion in Coldharbour. I've read through the description, and I saw that when you upload the mod its supposed to be in your inventory but I can't seem to find it.
Someone else had the same issue some time ago, I've copied the solution below just let me know if this solves it for you:
The "Scroll of Coldharbour" should appear in your inventory under "Books" as soon as you activate the mod in your load order. But, Skyrim has the uncanny ability to generate random bugs like no other game so... To solve the issue and double check if the mod is active just do the following:
1 - Open the Console by pressing the tilde (~) key. 2 - Type: help coldharbour 3 - You should see a list of every item, cell, book, etc that has the word "coldharbour" in it's name. 4 - scroll through the list with "PageUp" and "PageDown" until you see an entry called:
BOOK: (3F0018B0) "Scroll of Coldharbour"
Your will have some slightly different numbers depending on your load order. 5 - With that ID number you can now add the scroll. Just type: player.additem 3F0018B0 1 6 - That's it you should now be able to read it and gain the power to teleport. Now keep in mid that the spell is a lesser power and is casted with both hands, you should find it under "Powers".
If you can't find that entry with the console double check that the mod is properly installed. Hope that helps, Cheers.
Questions.... Can I bring my followers & can I let them live there(with the help of "my home is your home" mod)? I need a place to bring my dark follower characters. & please tell me there is no "auto-strip naked pool/shower/sauna/hot tub". They tend to bug out & cause random naked problems....
- Yes you should be able to dismiss your followers and find them in Coldharbour like any other house, they also follow you there when you teleport in. (I also use "My home is your home" and it works fine)
- There is no auto-strip, naked pool, shower, sauna, hot tub, etc... If you want to use mods for that it's fine, but I leave it up to you.
This mod is pretty nice. I haven’t played with it too much yet but I do have a few suggestions so far if you’re interested.
1. Instead of the screen just going black when you use the scroll to teleport it would be nice to see a teleport animation there like you have when you arrive.
2. If you could prevent NPCs from being able to access the Pocket Dimension that would definitely help with not breaking the immersion. The first time I teleported there a courier ran up to me. It was kind of funny but this would definitely wear on me after a while. The second time it was the Challenger when you reach a high Conjuration level. I don’t have Dragons currently activated (Skyrim Unbound) so I don’t know if they show up either. I also assume that Hunters would follow me if I’m using Better Vampires, which I am, but I haven’t had that happen yet.
3. I LOVE the Molag Bal altar. If you could add a feature that allowed the trading of filled Black Soul Gems for rewards - that would be fantastic! The possibilities with this are endless. Maybe receive a Perk Point for every 10 filled Black Soul Gems, etc… Offering souls to Molag Bal would fit right in with his character.
That’s all I have so far. I will be keeping this mod for my vampire/Molag characters for sure. Tracking and Endorsed!
EDIT : I should have said add more Black Soul Gem rewards as you already have some.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you like the mod. Now on to your suggestions:
1. I'll check if the spell that fires the script to take you to Coldharbour can be modified to do this. 2. That is both hilarious and totally unintended, I believe I accidentally made Coldharbour a "Public Area". Should be easy to fix. 3.Creating recipes that trade rewards for filled black soulgems is the easy part, but I need to think on the "rewards". The issue is more with balance than anything else.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve had a lot more time to play with this and I’m loving it even more. I’m also using the Alternate Death mod Mark of Arkay and have it set so that when I am defeated in battle, and don’t have a Black Soul Gem to trade, I respawn/resurrect at the Azure Plasm Pool in your mod. It works well for me from a RP point of view since my character has become Bloodbound to Coldharbour through your mod. Seems to be somewhat lore friendly as well according to this : https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Azure_Plasm. Maybe something like that could be incorporated into your mod as a benefit of becoming Bloodbound? This way I could free up an esp slot ;) Anyway, thanks again for the reply and keep up the great work.
Status update: 1. I changed the effect of the spell so that the conjuration effect starts and halfway you are teleported and appear in Coldharbour while seeing the end of the teleport animation (Before it just played the entire animation when you reached the home). 2. I set the home to "off limits" this is not what that is intended for (It actually has to do with the crime system) but after that no NPC appeared or followed me there as the home is set to be the property of the "Player Faction"... what all that creation kit nonesense means is that it should be fixed, but I'm still testing.
The soul sacrifice (in the form of Black Soul Gems) to the Altar of Molag Bal is easy to make but as I said I lack any good ideas at the moment so I'll take a while, feel free to suggest something.
To respawn in the Azure Plasm pool instead of dying is a good idea, I thought about it but didn't make it as it sounded very over powered, I might include it as a separate version.
Yes, real life and "lack of time" issues kept me from spending any time in front of my PC let alone the Creation Kit, but I plan to continue fixing/expanding the mod.
But the best news of all is that the very same day you ask this question I get a message from "SoN6of6TrediS" (The one who created the statue of Molag Bal you can see in the garden) sharing a pack of amazing oblivion buildings and landscape pieces that I'll definitely integrate into the mod.
So, the update is not only going to be made, but it's now going to be better than I hoped.
Okay that's awesome to hear, been using this mod a lot for my Champion of Molag Bal play through and it's literally been perfect. It's a great mod and I can't wait to play the update
Hi. I installed mod properly, and never get ''scroll of coldharbour''. Tried with console stuff and get notification ''consol command not found''. Obviously skyrim is ''playing'' rough. How can i start the mod? :(
Sorry for the late reply, If you get an error when you type the console command:
help coldharbour
That means the mod is not loaded properly., make sure to check if you have it in your load order, otherwise I suggest you try a mod manager. I don't use them myself but that should confirm that the mod is added.
Using the teleport power in the air causes super long loading screens for me, I think limiting the teleport power to out of combat, and grounded only would be really good
Agreed, I'll modify the power to only work when you are grounded. I honestly didn't thought about falling issues since my vampire character has a QOL "No drowning and no fall damage" ability.
I saw this mod and thought it was an awesome player home, but I can't seem to find the item in my inventory that would allow me to go to the player home. I just wonder if I had just installed it wrong (I used nexus mod manager) and if there is anyway I could fix it.

FINALLY see this is the type of pocket dimension home i like! You wouldn't be interested in making other themes of similar styled Pocket dimension homes in the future would you?
Thanks! To answer your question: Someone suggested I made every Oblivion realm that I could, even if it wasn't a player home. Right now I'm finishing a big update for this one, if you have any suggestions, please add them below or send me a message.
oooh i have a few, i'll place them below for PD homes
1. apocrypha, while there is a decent one out there i'd like to see your take on it. 2. the colored rooms. 3. a "hellraiser" style puzzle box prison. 4. The Void (Sithis)
My suggestions on what i think would make this mod: A Special cold Harbor mount summonable mount, instead of a teleport summon a dark anchor which acts as a doorway to the realm. and make the island abit bigger and add little landmarks or towers or something on the edges of the island. just my ideas, love the mod though :D
having a physical door kinda ruins the point of having a pocket dimension, so many modders have made that mistake including elinora. having a truly secure magical spell home is very rare on the nexus.
true, I mean have that anchor if only the realm was abit bigger. and it doesent really need to be a large anchor just big enough to look like one person would be using it.
To MasterofMundus: Apocrypha is almost a given since I have all I need included in the Dragonborn DLC. The others are worth a try specially the Hellraiser cube (Before I made this, I was planning on using a gem that takes you to another dimension like the opal in "The Wishmaster" movie... god I'm old...)
To coolo316: A summonable mount is easy to make, I'll definitely include one in the next update if I can make it look unique. The Dark Anchor thing is complicated because of how the spell works, it can be made so that followers can use it but not you (something I found out when testing the dremora is that they will follow you back into Skyrim, when you fast travel, even from Coldharbour.) The other issue is having the right model. I don't know how to make a 3D mesh of an anchor with animations.
+42 for an Apocrapha home. The cube thing has already been done, see Dwemer Storage Cube. There are a few portable homes out there that have both a moveable gateway and a TP spell, the Instant Fortress comes to mind. Adventurer's Tent fires a gate that looks like a tent, most cool for some playthroughs but I've got this hankering for a swirly mystical mirror kinda cell door. Another that comes to mind, similar to the Instant Tower but much larger (not a plus, to my mind) had for a settable door a legnth of broken Dwemer wall, with a bronze door inset. Very nice. One portable home that gets virtually no love is Wizard's Home - Teleport, which is a magnificent small home with a Dwemer theme. It's not navmeshed, but it manages to have all the ameneties other then a chopping block and a cookpot, in a very cozy and attractive package.
I should stop rambling now. Yes, more pocket dimensions!
Just a thought, but shouldn't the trees be like the Sleeping Tree, or were those trees only unique to Umbriel?
That "spore that fell from a floating island in the sky" legend with regards to the sleeping tree is.. well it's NOT, just a legend, for those who don't know. Also for those who don't know, the Sleeping Tree is a hist tree from a different dimension, a Daedric dimension.
Anyway, that's the only reason I ask. I don't know anything about the plant life in Coldharbour, but it just seems to me that it would stand to reason that you might see those kinds of trees there, heck maybe you could even use that as a way to get a new type of sap potion.
On another note, I still haven't figured out how to fix the red night sky/horizon issue in my game. I thought about trying to adjust that in the Creation Kit, but I don't know how to do that.
The Sleeping tree looks great but there's only one model, placing many on the garden would look too repetitive, I might add just the one for the tree sap in the next update. I looked at screenshots of Coldharbour from ESO and there are trees and flowers, I used what existed in Skyrim and matched those the most because I don't know how to make new meshes.
I'll send you a message to see if the Sky issue can be resolved.
I love the mod and I really want to keep it, but can you add a gate or wall near the edge? My followers walk right off the ledge. I plan on adding a campfire, a large tent, and some sleeping bags to the outside so I can have several followers relax and make the place home. I'm not sure if I need permission for this? I'm not going to upload anywhere it's just for personal usage.
Your followers walk off the edge? That shouldn't happen, I made the navmesh ouside specifically to prevent that, it doesn't go anywhere near the edge. (Not that it matters, you don't die if you fall, just appear back at the entrance)
In any case, I'm looking to implement a bridge to another floating island that could have some barracks for followers. and will check if a rail around the edges can be made not to look too restrictive.
While that is made feel free to modify the mod as you like, if you don't upload it anywhere, there are no restrictions on modding for personal use. (That applies to all mods, not just mine)
