I would rather have a mod that restores a cap level of probably 255 for players. Once you get max skill points, all your aspects will be locked, and you can no longer reset skills.
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you're asking. Are you saying you don't want to use the required mods like SkyUI? Unfortunately SKSE, zEdit, and SkyUI are required.
If you're asking about the compatible mod list, none of those are required, that's just a list of mods this is compatible with. You can use this mod with the normal perk trees.
I have encountered an issue. After I choose three perk tree (Heavy Armor, Two Handed, Speech), I can not pick any two remaining perk tree even major or minor tree.
Well if you're not using the mcm the best way to see how many perks you have is to search for the globals. Try "help allperkquota" and see what it says. The default value should be 6, and the minimum is 1 so you should be at 3 right now. "allperkcount" should also be 3.
If it's broken for some reason and you can't figure out why I'd suggest temporarily installing skyui for mcm and using the verify mod integrity option. That should fix any issues you're having, but it might not prevent it from happening again. The mcm shows your perk usage which is much easier than console search.
It's possible there's a mod adding perks in the background. Do you use Honed Metal or something similar? I'm fixing HM right now and I'd like to know if other mods have the same issue. See the previous comment or pinned comment for more details on that.
I opened the MCM and activated Verify Mod Integrity, then the Remaining Perk Trees value changed from -2 to 2 and I can pick two remaining perk trees. Is it mean I have to active Verify Mod Integrity in MCM when installing this mod or will it be activated by default?
Verify Integrity runs a script that checks your existing perks and settings and fixes any problems it sees. It does not run in the background and you can do it as many times as you need to fix things. You only need to run it on install if you're upgrading from an older version of the mod like 2.0, on a clean save you shouldn't need it.
I just released a fix for Honed Metal if you have that mod. I don't know what caused your issue to make it -2 but if it happens again send me your modlist using modwat.ch or pastebin and any info about what mod might have caused it.
The Mod will take my remaining perk tree away after loading, I have to active Verify Mod Integrity every time I load the game to get my exact remaining perk tree. I also have Honed Metal but I didn't use the service yet.
One question, do we run zEdit for Limited Perks Patcher before or after installing ASIS?
I have no idea how ASIS functions, however in theory it shouldn't matter since it doesn't touch player perks, only adds to NPCs. It might be using player perks and causing issues and I can certainly look into it but it might take a while, I'm pretty busy.
In the meantime see if a save cleaner will help. It's possible there's a rogue script that's running when you load the game. I recommend FallrimTools https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031/ Don't forget to backup your saves.
Another option you could try is starting a new game and taking 3 perks like you did and see if it happens again. If it can be reproduced then it's definitely a compatibility issue.
Before I use the mod, I made a new game for testing, then I have tested Limited Perk Tree many times and it worked fine. The issue now happen after I traveled in my new official journey for a while. I guess I have to "refresh" the mod by MCM every time I need it.
Hey, I'd just like to report an incompatibility with the mod Honed Metal. A feature of that mod is that you can bring your weapons and armor to blacksmiths to have them tempered. Unfortunately, due to the way the mod must work, when you open the menu to hand over your item the game thinks that you have the perk and locks a minor tree.
Sorry for the delay, I've been pretty busy. While I'm working on the patch I can confirm the Verify Integrity option temporarily fixes the issue. You'll have to do it every time you use Honed Metal though. Hoping to have a fix soon, it's looking good so far.
I want to remove MCM and configuration spell from the game and using All Perk Tree option. In version 3.0 I can not find the variable that switch between All and Major/Minor options. In version 2.0 that variable is LimitedAllCheck in TES5Edit.
Is that variable exist in ver 3.0? Please let me know to change the value. I want default of this mod is All Perk Tree option without using MCM or configuration spell.
Actually double that. There's 8 total major and 10 minor trees but you can only start with half, the other half have to be unlocked by making half legendary. Obviously that's just the max amount, you can make it as small as 1 start and 1 legendary. It's much easier to visualize when looking at the MCM.
i was looking at it as a class limiter, like prevent the character from having all perks,, but if you can unlock it anyway that only delays the inevitable :(
Like I said, you can limit it to just 2 trees if you want so it does work as a class limiter. That's why I made this mod. Your first question made it seem like you wanted the max number.
Thanks for the update. One small thing, could you re-add to the description how the mod limit perk tree (2 major trees & 3 minor trees at the beginning, and getting more locked trees at legendary.....). I want to review this information. Beside, it is necessary for users who using this mod for the first time.
I removed it because it's already visible in the MCM by default and it was cluttering up the description. If you need to know the numbers are 2 major 2 legendary, 3 minor 2 legendary, 5 all 4 legendary.
What I would like to see is a mod that makes the first 3 perks you choose have normal leveling speed while the rest are nerfed considerably.Seems like it would feel more realistic.
I think the easiest way would be to use the community uncapper and choose which skills you want beforehand. I can't find any reference to changing the exp rate per skill with papyrus so I don't think it's possible without an skse plugin. It's outside the scope of this mod anyway.
Almost, Illusion is bugged so I'll have to add it to the patcher. It won't affect gameplay it just won't limit the Illusion tree. I won't release a patch for it because I'm releasing 3.0 Soon TM.

Edit: I was using an old version of Vokrii. Vokriinator works fine, I'll update the description.
