ShinglesCat, thank you for sharing your work (this and your other projects). I noticed some odd behavior with Racemenu and a workaround that might help some of the people who are having trouble with your mod, specifically with the mouth and teeth appearing out of position (too high or too low) or having multiple mouth parts displayed. I believe it has to do with Racemenu sculpt data not being updated properly, which is obviously completely external to your mod.
This is how I fixed it: 1. Place an exported head mesh in your \SKSE\Plugins\chargen folder (I used one from a follower mod) 2. In Racemenu, go to the Head tab and change Mouth Part to the furthest to the right, then create a new preset of your character using this mouth part. 3. Go to the Sculpt tab and select "Clear Sculpt," then "Import Head" using the mesh in your chargen folder (it's okay if your character's face looks wrong). 4. Reload the preset you created.
If the mouth is still in the wrong position (i.e. too high/low, too far forward), try exchanging any extended slider values for the default sliders (e.g. use Mouth Forward instead of Mouth Depth). In Racemenu, default sliders are at the top of the Mouth section and can only be edited in increments of 0.1 since Racemenu version 1.4.5.
Hello there @ShinglesCat I'm creating a character mod and the teeth are quite important and I would like to make your file as a requirement for my mod But it is on SSE. I actually made an optimization for SSE and converted the files with Cathedral assets optimizer.
Can I give you those files so you can upload them to SSE nexus, please ? I just made the conversion for you ( even if there wasn't a lot to do ) .
Your models are so awesome and I think it really deserves to be on SSe I really love your mod and I would really like to implement them in my mod, please. Here is a little screenshot : https://imgur.com/a/1qzGjBI I hope you like it and that we could make this happen.
Hiding vanilla teeth is an easy task, but what exactly do you mean by "drag and drop the teeth onto your npc"? I tried copying the HDPT records from the esp into my follower's esp and adding those headparts to additional head parts of the npc, but only got the black face bug as a result. Where did I go wrong?
I m sorry to bother you again, but I try forever to get this mod running and fail :( The thing is, this is too awesome to play without. I tried but I cannot see the cheap ugly normal teeth anymore.
The thing is:
I am using "HIgh Poly Head" (https://vectorplexus.com/files/file/283-high-poly-head/) but with or without I cannot get rid of the "double teeth" AND the "teeth too far forward" problem.
I tried the "fix" with loading an exported head in Sculpt etc. Did not fix it. I tried playing with the sliders, making sure only to use vanilla sliders, did not fix it :(
Whether I am using the High Poly Face Part or not it stays the same. I am at wits end, especially since I got this to work before, but now... not anymore:..
Basically I just want to ask where this could possibly go wrong? I tried new game, new presets, all kind of stuff.
Can this somehow be done in another way? editing the files itself? Some bodyslide outfit studio or I dont know what?
I am very thankful for every help, this is, as I said, too awesome not to use :(
EDIT: I am use Expressive Female Animations and the Patch for it.
when I look at the face "normally" the teeth only look forward a tiny bit (they are clipping with the lower lips) But when I use several phonemes or more extrem phonemes, the teeth start to come forward ALOT and clip outside of the face, like a deadskull :(
EDIT2: I moved the mesh around in Bodyslide Outfit studio. This at least seems to work.
What I dont understand is why the Teeth are moving forward so much when using phonemes. Because in fact I cant even fix this completly even with moving the teeth.
To fix the "forward teeth" with phonemes I have to move the teeth so far back it looks bad when not using phonemes...
Now I wonder if the "movement" of the teeth is somehow stored in the tri files? I dont understand yet what they really do. I think by removing any forward or backward movement while using phonemes the problem could be solved.
I know I'm a bit late, but I know what you mean. This is hands down the best teeth I've seen and I've been trying for the life of me to minimize the clipping I'm getting. There's just no going back to old teeth after this. I'm having the same problem as you and I think you're on the right track.
If I'm not mistaken the tri files are the blend morphs for expressions and I think that when they were made the teeth were pulled forward for the phonemes. At least that seems to be the case, but I could be way off. I'm also using HPH, EFA, and the EFA patch.
Since I'm a few years late have you found a way around it?
Edit: I just tested the FFA tris and it doesn't seem to have the same forward movement issue
Hi! I really like your mods, they are AWESOME!!!If i may ask about your lovely character in the first screenshot? It's not the first time I've seen her in your mods and I've always wondered if you'll ever publish her preset?? She is stunning, and I would love to play in "Skyrim" with such an appearance of the character
A question about texture: How to make those NPCs who probably have dirty teeth actually be they should be? All white teeth retexture mods I tried make all human NPCs' teeth clean which looks unrealistic.
