Love this mod! Why Bethesda made it so dang hard to play a lawful good character has always irked me. This one is a must-have for me. That being said I really wish it was available for Skyrim SE. There is no mod like this for that version, in fact I haven't been able to find a mod that alters this quest in a good way at all for SE. So if it's possible.... Christmas present 2020? Regardless, I love this mod and you're awesome for making it!
Agreed. The forced Molag Bal quest where you 'have' to commit torturous murder or never finish it is a prime example. Being forced to play as a certain type of character in any part of an RPG is inexcusable.
Hey! Have this quest listed in skyrim, but everytime I talk to the Jarl and he says he will give me the key, but when I go to the door I can't open it, saying I don't have the key. Any help would be appreciated. I even tried starting the quest over from an old save.
I think a good alignment character would take this thing and put it somewhere under lock and key well away from prying eyes and heavily protected. lol I like the option to actually ask for the bloody key - I don't really like pickpocketing.

Since at this point at the game you are already the thane of whiterun and the jarl himself asked you to check on his child, could'nt you just ask the jarl to give the key to the door to solve the problem?
I dunno if that's possible to do but if you could do it like that i think it would make way more sense and be much more simple this way...
