I didn't realize just how much this mod would add to my Skyrim experience. It's ridiculous it only has 300 endorsements (aotp) and less than 4000 DLs. An absolutely beautiful mod that consistently reminds you just how beautiful it is. I couldn't play the game without it.
I'm not sure how modding for SE works, but given that these are only textures, if the original mod is converted to SE then this retexture will probably work just fine. I can't find the Maiden dresses on the Special Edition Nexus, so the original mod probably hasn't been converted yet, which is a shame. You'll have to ask the original mod creator, zzjay, about that. Until then, I suppose you could always replace the barmaid dress texture or the chef texture with one of these if you really want it and don't feel like waiting however long it will take to convert the mod.
The type of dresses these are based on? Most of them are based on Norway's national costume, which is called a bunad. I based them on bunads from many different places in Norway, from Setesdal in the south, to Hardanger in the west, to Romerike in the east, and Nordland in the north. The ones that aren't based on bunads are based on Viking clothing, which doesn't really have a name, it's just called Viking clothing, or Norse clothing.

Truly, this should be in the vanilla game.
I wish I could endorse this mod more.
Will I use them? Probably not! Do I want them anyway? Yes!
What are these actually being called today?
